Midnight looked at the silhouette of Lightning Crash, staring at the sunset. She gathered up her courage and walked over to him. His brown straight mane and bark brown eyes looked beautiful in the sunset, as did his golden pelt, in contrast to her dark purple pelt and teal, dark blue, and aqua blue mane and sapphire blue eyes, he was the sun.
"H-Hello..." Midnight whispered, and gulped as he turned to face her. And smiled.
"Hi, Midnight!" He exclaimed, blushing slightly.
Midnight blushed even harder. "Um, Lightning? I-I love you. I always have." She whispered.
Now it was Val's turn to blush. "I-I love you too." He replied.
Midnight smiled and laid her head against Lightning's shoulder, his head on her's as they watched the sun set.
