Chapter 3 - The Razor

As soon as Nick left I ran to the door to see what had scared him. And oh my gosh it was Tony. I looked at him and said " hey, did you hear any of that?". I asked him. " yea actually, and I like you too," he said while blushing. I smiled and then felt his lips smash onto mine. I was surprised at first but then continued to kiss him. Little did I know that Avani was live and recording the whole thing. " Welp you saw it here first. TONY LOPEZ AND SYDNEY BURKE ARE DATING!!" As soon as she started yelling Tony and I jumped causing my nerves to react. As soon I heard her start yelling all of my past issues came back to the surface and I started breaking down crying. I ran out of the  hallway into Tony's room and I felt like I just had a mental breakdown. All of my memories from my abusive relationship came back to me and I felt like I was back in that state. Back in the past with my drunken mom, with my deadbeat dad, with my so called " boyfriend" who apparently loved me. I went into Tony's bathroom and found a razor. I broke it apart and took the blade in my hand. I thought about it for a moment and just did it. I had cut myself. Not like it's the first time that happened. I just wanted the pain to stop. After all my thoughts I had at least 6 cuts on my arm. Just then Avani came into the bathroom where I was at and saw what happened. She yelled for Tony and those nerves that I had just calmed down rode back up to the surface again. " PLEASE STOP YELLING" I screeched while sliding down the bathroom door. Tears were coming down my eyes. Avani came down with me and asked me what was wrong. Just then Tony came running in but didn't see what the problem was as I had covered my arms. He asked Avani what was going on and she stood me up and showed him my arm. She looked at me and walked out while Tony was just staring at me with disbelief in his eyes. He ran to me and hugged me. I was still crying but I hugged him back. Then almost everyone in the hype house came and saw what was going on. Before I knew it we were all in a group hug. Everyone was asking me what happened and it was a long story so I just told everyone to go to the living room and I will explain there. Once we made it to living room I started to explain. " So about a year ago I was in a relationship with this guy named Damien. He said he loved me and I believed it. He was a senior and I was a junior in high school. He was a gangbanger so when he asked me out I was too scared to say no," I said still crying. By then Tony and Avani were both holding me. I just continued with the story and said " When I said yes, all of his other gang member friends were cheering him on and then one of them came over to me and.. a. He pulled me into the janitors closet and raped me. And afterwards, he went and told my new boyfriend and then he came running to the closet where I was. Once he saw me I was still naked and in fear from when he raped me. He took a picture of me laying like that and crying. Thank god my best friend was there. She saw me and kept asking what had happened as the guy who raped me held her back. They got sick of her talking and yelling, so.. h.hhee, he pulled out a gun and shot her in the head!!" I said while crying and shrieking at the same time. "He told me that if he told anyone what had happened, he would tell the police that I was the one who had shot her after she raped me." They all stared at me with horror in their eyes and Tony just hugged me harder. Avani backed off and just held me hand while Tony was fully hugging me now as we had rearranged so I was sitting on his lap. " After that, everyone was already out of the classrooms screaming, and running down the halls. We quickly got my clothes on and left with the crowd to make it look as if we were hiding. We ran to his house where then again he raped me. I tried my hardest to get away and that's when he hit me. My own boyfriend hit me and raped me after he just killed my best friend. The whole year. It was just him raping me wherever he felt like, sometimes his friends would rape me too. I tried to tell my mom but she just said it was fine and that I was over exaggerating. When I contacted my dad he was too drunk to understand what I had been going through." They were still staring at me. Avani was crying. So was Tony and Charli. " So what happened after that?," Thomas said. " I ran," I blurted out " I ran away as fast as I could and as far as I could. He would always scream at me and tell me " WELP LOOKS LIKE YOUR A DEADBEAT JUST LIKE YOUR DAD!" Those words made me feel like crap. It made me want to kill myself. That's when I started to become suicidal." At those words Tony let out a small shiver. I hugged him tighter. " That's why when I heard Avani say those words, I-I broke. I just felt like I was back in that state. When I ran to the bathroom I checked my phone and I had got a message from Damien. It said " I know where you have been and I am on my way now, see you soon thot 😜". That's when I cut myself. I just can't think of what's gonna happen to me now that he's found me and..". I then cried into Tony's chest and he said " it's okay babygirl the whole hype house is here to protect you. No one will hurt you while your with us." He smiled at me. " Thank you so much everyone. You guys are the best/only family I've ever had." Avani laughed and that broke the tension. While everyone went up to their rooms, me and Tony were the only ones in the living room and we were watching Netflix. "Sydney," Tony said. " Yeeeeeeeesssssssss?" I said. " So what was your best friend like?" He said shyly. I laughed. " She was amazing, she had brown hair, she was with me through everything until.." I paused. Tony came over and hugged me. I started to tear up. For the rest of the night I just told Tony about Damien and his friends. Damien then texted me and the text said " I'm outside your door. Happy to see me?" I threw my phone and yelled. Tony ran over to my phone to see what was going on and when he saw we both looked up and there was a ring at the doorbell...
