A Ghost's Wishes Are Always Carried Out

Chaeyoung's Death

Ring! Ring! Chaeyoung's eyes fluttered open and she curled up against her fiance, Mark. She smiled at how cute he looked when he was sleeping. She looked at the clock and widended her eyes. She was late for work! She quickly started to pull the covers off and got up when Mark grabbed her hand.

He groggily sat up and rubbed his eyes, "Do you have to go so early, Chae? Can't you stay longer?"

"Early? I'm late for work, I have to go now! I'll leave food on the kitchen counter top when I go to make breakfast! Love you!" Chae said as she went to go brush her teeth and take a shower. Mark chuckled at how frantic she looked and went to sleep. Chaeyoung quickly pecked him on the lips and the quickly took a shower and brushed her teeth. She went to the kitchen and made french toast for Mark and her. She quickly got in her light blue minivan and drove to the NIS station. She sneaked into the station hoping nobody would notice her come in. But unfortunately for Chaeyoung, she ran into her supervisor at the door.

Her supervisor frowned, "Chaeyoung, you know you can't be late. People are out there just waiting for help, we can't disappoint them."

Chaeyoung bowed, "Sorry, managernim. I lost track of the time, I promise to not be late anymore."

"Chaeyoung, I was just joking! But seriously, don't be late again, "her supervisor laughed out loud.

Her supervisor spotted the ring, "Oh I guess, that's why you got distracted. Enjoying to soon to be married life, I see." Chaeyoung laughed and nodded happily.

Then one of her fellow co workers came and said, "Sorry to interrupt. Chae if you're free right now can you check on a report a woman a few minutes ago made. Her name is Heo Wol and she said two men came and killed her husband which is the case you're working on right now. She also said her husband was involved with Kim Banking and Financial Aid, you know Jin's father runs that company. I love Jin, he's so hot! Such a shame he took a break from acting after his wife died."

Chaeyoung nodded, "I'll check it out, right now. Did Heo Wol give an address, I just want to talk to her personally, see if there's anything else."

"She and her husband ran a bakery, but she took it over when he died. The bakery's name is La Deliciosa, I bet the food is really good. If you get a chance, bring me cake Chae, please?" her co worker responded.

"Of course! Thanks for everything, I'll get going now!" Chaeyoung said enthusiastically, exciting to start the day with a fresh new lead.

Her supervisor grabbed Chaeyoung's hand and asked, "Don't you have more pressing cases to worry about like serial killer cases instead of this?"

"This is a pressing case as well but why are you worried about those cases? I told you I'll have both of them done by Friday, why are you trying to stop me from going?" Chaeyoung's face turned suspicious.

"Oh! Nothing, really. I was just saying, "Chae's supervisor said. Chaeyoung's eyes looked into her supervisor's eyes looking for some sort of sign she was lying.

"Oh fine. I'm quite curious about this case, so I wanted to check the lead myself, "the supervisor said sheepishly.

Chaeyoung grabbed her supervisor's arm and chuckled as her face turned from suspicious to sweet, "Why didn't you say so before? C'mon you can come with me!" Her supervisor nodded and got in to Chaeyoung's dark blue Jeep.  They drove to La Deliciosa and got out of the Jeep.

Her supervisor told Chaeyoung, "One minute, I have to make a phone call, you can start interviewing her." Chaeyoung nodded and went inside the bakery and saw Heo Wol cooking in the kitchen.

Chae came in and told her while showing her badge, "I'm an NIS officer and I would like to talk to you about the witness statement you made today." Heo Wol rubbed her hands on her apron and came to Chaeyoung.
