Episode 2: Chances

Studio A

Sitting in the Office is Emily, facing her is a very nervous Maya.

Emily: You can probably guess why you're here.
Maya: Yeah...
MayaTH: Do I regret saying what I said to Jude? A little. Did she have it coming? Yes.
Emily: Jude has been through a lot. She doesn't like people judging her and she especially does not need you to knock her confidence.
Maya: I understand, but-
Emily: I want no buts. Since this has happened, I will not be letting you audition for A-troupe.
Maya: What? That's not-
Emily: Not fair? No, no, no. What's not fair is you treating Jude the way you did.
EmilyTH: It's about time this studio had some discipline. I'm not going to be too harsh and make them do military press-ups, which I've done before. Just a few warnings and consequences here and there.
Emily: Now, I'm expecting you to apologise to Jude. Will you?
Maya: Of course.
Emily: You can leave now.
MayaTH: I know what I did was wrong. I guess my actions have consequences and now I have to suffer.

The Next Steep

Jude and Cleo are both sitting eating their scones and drinking their drinks.

JudeTH: I still don't understand why Cleo wanted to come here so bad. Maybe she wanted to treat me?
Jude: Thanks for the treat!
Cleo: Huh?

Cleo's mind is somewhere else and she realises the only way to cover up is so go along with Jude.

Cleo: Oh ya. No problem.
CleoTH: If Jude thinks we're in here to cheer her up. That's fine by me, I just don't want her finding out about Joshua.
Cleo: How's the chai tea?
Jude: It's like they've forgotten the recipe. It's disgusting.
Cleo: That's a surprise.
Jude: This place needs to close down...
Cleo: I thought you liked it?
Jude: I do but... don't you think it could do with something new? I heard before it was a board game bistro.
Cleo: Shakes and Ladders? Yeah, it was a great place.

As Jude and Cleo continue talking, Joshua walks in. Cleo notices him and starts to panic.

Cleo: Um.. can we go back to Studio 1 now?
Jude: Sure!

As they stand up, Joshua notices Cleo.

Joshua: Cleo?
CleoTH: Busted.
Cleo: Joshua... What brings you here?
Joshua: A-troupe.
Cleo: A-troupe?
Joshua: Yeah, I'm here to audition.
CleoTH: He can't be serious. I don't want him at this studio. He needs to get lost.
Jude: Am I missing something?
Cleo: Jude, meet Joshua. Joshua, meet Jude.

Joshua puts his right  hand out to shake Jude's hand to shake. Jude accidentally mixes her hands up and puts the wrong hand out.

Joshua: Wrong hand, Jude.
Jude: Oops.

Jude swaps hands and shakes his hand.

Jude: Sorry... that will be my dyslexia. I don't have my lucky bracelets on today.
JoshuaTH: Lucky bracelets? How old is this girl. 5?
Jude: So how do you and Cleo know each other?
Cleo: It's a long-
Joshua: We used to compete against each other at Absolute Dance competitions.
Jude: Just regionals then? She's never been to Nationals.

Joshua is confused by what Jude is saying and Cleo's face drops to a sudden panic.

Cleo: Joshua, it was really nice talking but we have to go!
Jude: But I haven't finished talk-

Cleo grabs Jude's hand and pulls her out.

Locker Room

Maya opens her locker and opens her dance bag. As she does, Winnie and Grace walk in.
