7. getting it together

I know I wasn't speaking for myself when I say that it feels strange having this many people in our house. Not necessarily in a bad way honestly it's just we have our way of living and doing things. When people outside of our inner circle come to the ranch it sort of disrupts the usual flow of things. My grandma and I were used to it being just the workers and us.

Like I said though, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Who couldn't use a little socializing here and there? We don't really talk to anyone outside of family or have many close family friends.

I woke up a bit earlier than usual to help out with breakfast today. On a typical day it would just be my grandma and a few other ladies making meals throughout the day. Even though we can afford chefs my grandma likes to cook still but I can tell she for sure enjoys bossing people around in the kitchen for ingredients and not have to deal with the clean up process afterwards.

I could tell my grandma is going to be a bit on edge today, as well as the remainder of the days that our guests are here. She worries a lot about being a excellent hostess so that's why I step up to remind her to breathe.

Everything is done now so all that was left is for everyone to come out. I checked the time before sending one of the girls to let everyone know room to room. I think it's a decent time to wake everyone up for breakfast being it's almost nine o' clock and we have a very long day ahead of us.

Today is the first real work day and who knows how many there will be. I'm sure it won't matter how many days it takes just as long as the Styles family is whole again in the end. That's what truly matters here really,

so the sooner we get to it, the faster we can all go back to living our lives.

I'm sitting at the table at the end waiting for anyone to walk in when I think about last night's events in the room directly next to this one. Can't help but bring a smile to my face remembering how Freya looked the more I got under her skin. Her reactions only proved me right even further and I've been right many times in my life to know I'm not wrong about what's going on there either.

I wonder if everyone in that circle just acts like nothing is going on or if they genuinely aren't aware Zayn Malik has been getting in bed with Freya. To me it was obvious right away, just by how Zayn stayed close to her, but not too close at the same time. The energy I picked up from that in a second made me think for a second they were together even until I found out they weren't.

Whatever they have going on isn't really my business but it's been pricking at my curiosity since I noticed it.

I wonder what gave Zayn such confidence in crossing boundaries a man shouldn't. Especially with someone they call a brother even and it's twisted even more cause I'm sure he's known Freya since she was child.

I also wonder how and when this thing started between the two and why. Had Freya's contact to the outside world been so limited that she ended up wanting to do this job? As well as get involved with a man who's much older than her and closely associated to her family.

Before I could think about that any further, Nathan and his wife, Esther walk into the dinning room. I greet them warmly signally for food to be served now as they sit down.

"I hope that you both slept well last night. I do apologize if for the noises this ranch can make when it's windy in the middle of the night." I start up conversation taking a sip from my juice.

"This ranch is very lovely Daniel even with all it's quirks. I'm surprised that it's stayed in the family this long." Esther comments just as Zayn walked in then.
