You laid in bed, as you've been awake since 5 am. Why? Well, you had a dream, and you usually don't have dreams. It was about Legosi. Why were you having dreams about a roommate you've met less than a day ago? You weren't sure. You stared at the bunk above you bottom, lost in thought. The dream was so vivid to you like it was some sort of memory. You shook it off and sat up and put a hand near the entrance of the curtains. You pulled your hand away and stuck your muzzle out to see if anyone was around. Sniffing, all you could smell was the other canines and that familiar scent of Legosi. You pulled your muzzle back and checked your phone. 7:20 am. You blinked, when did class start again exactly? You were pretty forgetful when it came to stuff like time. Going into your notes app, you see that classes start at 10. Sighing you lay back down, phone on your chest.

You laid there, blocking out your surroundings before checking the time again. 9 am. Thinking that you should probably get ready, you sit up and open your curtain to see everyone else getting ready. You instantly get flustered and close the curtain. Since you were bullied based upon appearance as a pup, you became very self-conscious about yourself. So, opting for the best solution, you just grabbed your clothes where you set them last night by sticking your arm out of the curtains and pulling back. You were going to get dressed when you jumped back because of a golden muzzle.

" Hey, you okay (Y/N)? "

Oh, it was just Jack.

" Y-yeah, just a bit self-conscious is all. "

" Okay, I won't force you out. But just to let you know, you can always feel safe here! We don't judge! "

He pulls his muzzle back as you just smile. You think that you and Jack can become good friends. That's if you weren't such a coward and feared for the worse all the time. Your nose twitches as you recognize the scent.

' Legosi... '

He smelt different. He had the scent of a herbivore on him. Clutching your hand on your chest, you look at your clothes.

' Why... Why do I feel strange? What is this... feeling? '

After contemplating for a while, you finally shrugged it off while finishing getting dressed. They all started to pour out of the room, leaving you the last one inside.

Or so you thought.

Legosi was still inside, staring at you deeply. His large body resting by the window, absolutely still. When you noticed this, your face was covered in red as his stare lingered.

"U-uh... Is th-there s-something wrong?" was all that you could manage to say. He did not answer, still in the same position. You called out for him.

"L-Legosi..?"

Finally, he seemed to snap out of his gaze. He blinked repeatedly before ushering a few apologies.

"Ah... sorry, sorry. I was just zoned out." he apologized as he rubbed his neck. You stepped aside from the door so he could head out, but before he left, he said a quiet compliment that was both a whisper and a polite tone.

"And, you look good today."

You stood there, processing what he said. Once you did, your face was blasted with heat and you looked like a tomato with a body. Taking a deep breath, you internally screamed while heading to your class.

Most of your day consisted of you too caught up in your thoughts to even take notes. Although it was a small compliment, and something most people would say, you took that shit to your heart. Once your class ended, it was time to head to the cafeteria and eat. And boy, were you pretty hungry from all the thinking you did. You got to the cafeteria, waited in line, grabbed your food, and headed towards an empty table. Sitting down, you swore you melted right there and then.

" Finally, yum-yums in my tum-tums. "

You tended to speak to yourself when you were alone, usually not noticing your surroundings.

"Mind if I join you..?" asked a familiar voice. Legosi stood behind you, waiting for your response. To make it better, the cognizance of realizing that he must have heard you made you cringe in your facepalm. Nice going, world-class moron.

"S-sure but... Please forget what I just said..." you asked in shame, avoiding his eye contact as he sat next to you.

"So, how are your classes going?"

"Fine, I guess... Although you p-probably don't wanna hear ab-bout that. Hey, aren't you hungry at all?"

You noticed that he did not have any lunch, sure he might have already eaten some, but you had a feeling he didn't.

"Oh uh, I'm not really hungry."

"What? Nonsense! Have some of my eggs." you told him as he rubbed his neck again. You get a napkin you had with you on your plate and set it in front of him. Then slowly and carefully, you put some of the eggs from your plate onto the napkin.

" Th-there. Now you have something to at least put in your stomach. "

You make a small huff before going back to eat. Your eyes wander over to see if Legosi was eating, which he was... barely. He was nibbling at his food. Finishing off your lunch, you decided that you would go off and finish homework assignments and such things. So, you got up, turned to Legosi, and gave a small, genuine smile.

" You're cute. "

Running off after saying that, you huffed and put your garbage in the garbage can. You might've or might've not just wanted to one-up him with a compliment. You go to the bathroom and pulled on your ears.

" He's weird, but I think I want to be his friend. "

Once you calmed down, you went back to your dorm room. Setting your backpack down, you grabbed your assignments out and put a book on your lap so you can start doing it.

The rest of the day passed fairly fast, and night arrived again. The other canines had come in, joked around with you and each other, and started to get to bed. You still had a notebook from earlier on your lap. On it, displayed a delicate and detailed portrait of Legosi. You wondered what his reaction was to your compliment to him, and passed out shortly after.
