Jughead pov

PANIC MODE! I run to the other side of the wide bridge and spot her bright yellow T-shirt
She's caught in a branch and look like she unconscious or dead! I immediately jump over into the water and I head shouting from up above. I swim as best as I can trying not to get caught in the flow, i unhook her from the branch laying her on the ground a bit above me and I boost myself up. I grab her and run up the grassy hill and over the wall which takes me to the end if the bridge where everyone was panicking I was crying, fp was on the phone to juniper who was running along side the other kids with Dagwood and he was telling them what happened and to come back to the bridge.

I lay her down on the ground and we all crouch down sweet pea is holding lily so she can't see and she's confused
"I don't know what to do" I say panicking
"Dad your the sherif don't you train people to do something in this situation" I add panicking more
"I'm a Surgeon bit I work with machines jut my hands" reggie says sniffing away tears
"I know how to do chest impressions" Kevin blurts our and I let his past and my dad brings me into his embrace
"I can't watch this anymore" Cheryl cries and Toni comforts her while crying
"I- is it working" fangs asks
"Nothing yet" Kevin says wiping away many tears
"It's all my fault I should have told them before they got to close" I sob
"I need to call betty" I sigh
"Hold on!" Kevin says and I look over he pushes down one more time and Riley spits out water and starts coughing
"Holy shit oh my god" I say picking her up and laying her head on my shoulder. She starts crying
"Thank you so much Kevin you saved her life" I say and pull him into a hug everyone let's out a greatful sigh
"My pleasure I'm glad I could help" he cries
"Is she okay?" Cherly asks from to is chest
"Think she's gonna be fine just maybe a bit scared and gonna have a killer cold" Toni says
"Kevin your a hero" fangs says
And the kids arrive finally
"Guys she's physically fine but jug is gonna take her back as she's not really up for a walk after this traumatic experience" fp says
"I think we should all keep on walking so we aren't all crowding the lodge, Reggie should go back as v is there with Ashley and someone needs to take lily back" sweets says
"I need to get her back quick, I'm freezing so I can't imagine how cold she is right now" I say and me and Reggie kinda fast jog back to the lodge

Betty pov

Me and v are just chilling and talking basically enjoying the peace and quiet
"Haaaaa B do you hear that? That's the sound of piece and quiet" v says and I nod suddenly
"Betts I'm so sorry, it's my fault she fell of the bridge and almost does but I jumped in and saved her and Kevin gave new compressions but now I think she just needs you" jug and Reggie burst through the door jug is soaking wet and starts rambling on
"What's slow down, WHAT HAPPENED!" I ask with tears as he hands me and dripping wet crying little girl
"Oh my god baby" I cry and cradle her
"We were walking along the bridge in the Forrest and the rest of the kids were far a head so they didn't see anything but the twins were getting a bit to close to the edge so Jughead told them to come over to us but when they were running Riley tripped and lost balance when standing up and rolled right off under the railings but Jughead dives off the bridge and saved her and Kevin gave her chest compressions and now she's here but I would advise you to go bath her and make her cosy we don't want her going hypothermic" Reggie explains I just look at her all wet and tears coming from her closed eyes
"I can't believe this happened" Veronica says
"Neither can I, okay right so I have to go bath her and stuff, jug you need a shower aswell so just do it in the same shower so you can help me so v or Reggie could you maybe put lily down?" I ask
"I will and v could maybe make her famous Spanish soup everyone loves for supper?" Reggie smirks and I head upstairs to mine and jugs en-suite
"Okay I have laid out her fluffy onesie and lotion for her when she's done and also I have her towel and shampoos" jug says and I turn the shower on
"No no" Riley and melts down
"Baby you have to have a shower to be nice and warm, daddy's gonna be here aswell" I say
Once she's all stripped down she still won't go in
"Riley you have to have a shower, why don't you hold my hand okay" I say and she still won't let go and is continuously sobbing
"Am I gonna have to get a bikini and go in with her, seriously?" I say to jug and smiles
"You don't need a bikini" he says and my jaw drops
"Yes I do and you need swimming shorts aswell" I say and he runs off to get them
I'm sitting with Riley in my lap
"Is this okay baby?" I ask and she nods still tearing a little bit I smile at jug who is rinsing his shampoo out his hair
"Okay daddy is gonna shampoo your hair" I say and I kneel and she's standing under the shower head to get her hair wet then sits back in my lap while jug is lathering you her hair, she normally is giggling at this part but today she's just tearing and scared

Once we are all out me and jug get changed into sweats and Riley in her fluffy onesie and fuzzy socks she's not herself
"Hey guys" I say softly walking outside with Riley in my hip and her head in my shoulder
"Auntie B is she okay" Jake asks
"Yea guys she's gonna be fine I think just really spooked out and traumatised" I say sitting down and she stays in my lap
"Here sweetie we got you your favourite sweets" fangs says sliding over a bag striped mix up bag from the ice cream shop down at the end of the forest at the main street
"Oh that is so thoughtful thank you guys, can you thank them baby" I smile she just shifts a bit and looks at me
"I'm sorry guys she's just really freaked out, she wouldn't even go near the water in the shower" I sigh
"Betty it's all good, we all saw what happened, I would be traumatised aswell also since she's so young aswell I think it's best if se all take small steps in getting her better" Toni says
"No guys you don't have to do anything, she's not your responsibility you shouldn't have to let's just say be somewhat quieter because she's getting stressed, you shouldn't have to feel awkward because she won't eat with you in the room and for my other kids your shouldn't have to feel you can't have jokes because Brooklyn will take it to far-" I start to ramble because I feel bad
"Betts listen, yous are all my best friends and I love your kids as if I was a real uncle and some kids have problems or some are just over dramatic and sometimes they need extra attention, I don't care if I have to lower my voice, I don't care if I have to leave the room as one of them isn't comfortable, I don't care if I have to go to drastic measures, I would do it any day, and I am all in for helping Riley get over this overly traumatic experience, I am here and support yous on this" sweet pea says and it makes me tear up And everyone nods and hums in agreement
"And betty I know you would go to any extent for our boys and we want to return those extents, nothing is 'going to far' when we are trying to help" Kevin says I shed some tears
"I'm so glad my kids have so much support in their lives we are so lucky to have yous all, I love yous" I say and jug kisses my head
