It was a nice sunny spring day and you decided to go for a casual bike ride to a park nearby. It was morning time so the park was nearly empty except for the few joggers or people walking their dogs.
You stop by the river to catch your breath and take in the scenery. You set your bike down by the rocks and sat by the edge of the water feeling the cool breeze and watching the stillness of the water you closed your eyes taking in a deep breath of the fresh air when a sound of something hitting the water startled you. You looked for the source of the noise and further down towards the right of you was a boy in a navy blue hoodie skipping rocks across the river.
He must of felt you staring at him because he turned towards you making eye contact. You turned away quickly trying to play it off and when you turned back he was gone. "Huh, where'd he go." You start looking around and don't see a trace of him. "Looking for me?" You hear a mans voice from behind causing you to jump. "Oh shi- jesus you scared the shit out of me!" It's the boy who was skipping rocks moments ago.
He just giggles while offering out his hand. "Sorry I thought it would funny. My name is Minhyuk." You frown but still take his hand. You didn't realize how handsome he was until that moment. "Y/n" You realized you were still holding his hand and quickly pulled away. You felt your face get hot and knew he noticed because you heard him chuckle lightly. "So you're the one spying on me huh?" You cross your arms huffing. "
I was not spying! I didn't even know another person was down here." He smiled and bent down looking for something in the rocks. He picked up a smooth black rock and showed it to me. "You know how to skip rocks?" He gently grabbed my hand and placed the smooth stone in my palm. "I dont know how to." He looked around to find another rock. "Well I'll show you come here."
He smiled beckoning towards you. "First you have to find a pretty flat rock. The flatter the rock the easier it is to skip." He grabs my hand curving my first finger and thumb around the stone. "Here now throw it like if you were throwing a frisbee." I walk towards the water and give it a toss and it sinks. "Its okay! No one ever gets it on the first try. Here let me help." He comes up from behind me. And places another stone in my palm wrapping my hands around it. "Like this. Instead of curving your wrist outwards curve it inward and lean your body this way."
He gently places his hands on my hips moving it in place. I felt my face heat up again and look down in embarrassment. "Alright now try!" You snap out of it and throw the stone hard as you could towards the water. It skipped once before it sank. "I did it!" You turned around and in excitement and hugged him.
He looked surprised but hugged you back "Oh sorry." You said to him before releasing. "It's okay, it was cute." He smiled. You guys continued to talk, skip stones, playing around and laughing by the river. The sun was starting to set. You turn towards him as you guys are laying down. "I need to get going before it gets dark." He turns towards you sitting up. He had a sad look all of sudden. "Will you be here tomorrow?" You grabbed his hand and intertwined your fingers with his. "Definitely."
