• You were at the Barrens just being goofy (all of the others had left by this point)
• You were telling each other some bad jokes, but you both still laughed
• Then the funny stuff died down after a while and you two began to have a serious conversation about something random
• Richie, being the jokester he is, would still crack jokes every now and then
• After a while, he zoned out while you were talking about something you wanted to do when you were older; he admired your passion for whatever it was and it made him crazy for you
• "I love you," he blurted out
• You suddenly stopped speaking, staring at him with a confused look
• "What?" you said
• "I said, 'I love you,'" he repeated more confidently
• There was a long moment of silence
• You then leaned forward and pecked him on the lips
• "That came out of nowhere, but... I love you, too, Richie."
