Life Gets Stranger(Male Reader)

B-Day

You were drinking a soda with David in Chloe's living room as you all celebrate Max's birthday. It's been 3 years since you all went threw hell to stop Mr. Jefferson and Nathan Prescott. Your life has been pretty calm afterwards. You as "The Phantom" has become a hero in the eye of the public. Chloe comes down the stairs with a wrapped gift in her arms and places it in Max's lap. Max gives her a smile of graditute and Chloe gives her a kiss on the forehead.

Max: thanks Chloe

Chloe: anything for you Max, now hurry up and open it!

Joyce: oh calm down Chloe, let her take her time

David sits next to Joyce on the new couch across the coffee table from Max and Chloe. You just kneel on the side by the backyard window and watch with a grand smile. Max slowly opens the box to reveal a new expensive camera.

Max: No way! This is is expensive as hell! Thank You Chloe!

Chloe blushes as Max throws her arms around her and you chuckle.

Joyce: is that all the presents?

You: no ma'am, I've got you for her as well

Everyone looks at you as you walk to the front door.

You: what'cha sitting around for? Let's go!!

Everyone gets up and follows you while David grabs his beer can off the coffee table. Once everybody was outside you go to the back of your Mitsubishi Evolution IX and open the trunk before stepping back. Max looks at you without moving so you gesture her to walk over. You speak to her as she walks over and looks.

You: I remember you said you wanted a printer a few years ago, so...I worked my ass off and saved up every single penny I could get my hands o-

Max: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Max hugs you and you hug back laughing.

Max: you guys are the best ever!

You: No, we're (Y/N) and Chloe

Chloe punches your arm gently, causing to chuckle.

Chloe: smartass

You: well, I better get going. My shift starts in 20 minutes.

???: Hey Chloe! Long time no see!

You all look as Chloe's face loses color.

Chloe: Elliot!?

Elliot was sitting in a black civic with the driver's window rolled down. Chloe's body language made you worry so you spoke up.

You: who are you?

Elliot: I'm a friend of Chloe's! duh!

He gets out of his civic and closes the door and you notice the knife holster on his left thigh. Chloe backs up behind you as Max exhcnages a worried look with you. Elliot begins walking towards you but David gets in the way.

David: sorry son, but my duaghter obviously isn't comfortable with you here. So please leave.

Elliot gave a pained look at David then towards You, probably to Chloe since she's behind you. Elliot then spins on his heel and gets in his civic before driving off. You watch closely until he was out of sight. You then turn your attention towards Chloe.

Max: You ok?

Chloe: yea...I'm fine Max, just-

You: You didn't seem to fond of him, did he do something?

Chloe: well-uh, no. Just don't like him is all

Chloe gives you a smile to confirm her statement so you decide to leave it be. David then leads the women inside as you get into your car. You wave goodbye to eachother before driving off to work.
