Chapter 4: The Truth comes out

Blue's P.O.V

'Say something! Anything!' I think to myself trying to gather my thoughts together but, the only thing that I could say was "I-I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" I could feel tears threatening to come out almost begging to be let out "I'm really sorry" some tears run down my cheeks I look away from Jack not wanting him to see my tears coming out "B-Bo? A-Are you crying?" Jack asked surprise visible in his tone 'Room' was all I thought as I quickly got up and ran into my room slamming the door behind me, my back against the door trying to stop the tears from coming out.

Jack's P.O.V

'What just happened...?' I thought to myself trying to process what had just happened "I made her cry?" I softly say to myself, my eyes landing on the food she had made "I have to get to the bottom of this, but first..." I get up going over to her door and once in front of it I can hear her trying as hard as she can to stay as quiet as possible causing my heart to throb in pain; I softly knock on the door "Bo, I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry I just wanted answers, I'm just not used to you acting this way you're the complete opposite to who you were before and in all honesty it's kinda freaking me out." I hear her crying calm down and then suddenly her door opens, her eyes kinda red with her nose matching 'Shit I've really done it haven't I?' I thought to myself "I'm really sorry" "It's okay, you had every right to be questioning me and I don't really know how to explain to you without you thinking I'm totally out of my shell" "What you mean?" "Are we near the ocean?" I just stared at her wondering why she's asking "Yeah? We literally a few miles away from it" "Okay" Bo then begins to put her shoes on "Wait, hold on what are you doing?" "You want answers?" She asks me finishing putting her shoes on "I mean yeah but, what's the ocean got to do with this?" "You'll see, do you have one of those moving things?" 'Okay now I'm really confused' "You know the thing we used to get back here" "You mean a car?" "'Car'" She whispers to herself, "Earth to Bo! What are we doing?" "If you want to find out you have to trust me on this. Do you trust me?" She says holding her hand out, 'I'm going to regret this' I hesitantly take her hand "Yes, for the sake of getting answers" she smiled at me before saying "Okay let's get into the 'car' and head to the ocean" I let out a sigh, taking my car keys from its hook, as we head to car.

3rd P.O.V

Jack and Blue head out into the street waiting side by side not realizing that their hands were still holding each other's in a sweet hold, that is until they reach Jack's 2010 white Toyota. Jack quickly took his hand back a red blush covering his cheeks as he went over to the driver's side leaving Blue to stand there with the same blush on her face already missing the warmth that his hand had given off.

~20 minutes later~

After finally reaching the ocean Blue and Jack head over onto the beach not saying anything to each other until they were 3 feet away from the water "Okay we're here now will you tell me what's going on?" Jack asked finally breaking the silence "O-Okay but, please hear me out first before you decide to judge me...Okay?" "U-Umm okay" Blue took a deep breath calming her nerves just a little bit before finally speaking "I'm not Bo, my real name is Blue, and I'm not from the surface." "The surface?" Jack asked confused "I'm from there" Blue said pointing towards the water, Jack following where she's pointing "You're from the water?" "Yes." Jack just stared at her wondering how the hell he got himself in this situation in the first place "I came here to escape a forced marriage that my father had arranged in exchange for more territory and power..." Blue said looking sadly towards the ocean "So, what? Your father is the king of the sea?" Jack said jokingly chuckling to himself expecting her to chuckle along "Yup!" 'Okay was not expecting that' Jack thought to himself immediately stopping his chuckling, he cleared his throat before speaking again "Okay so, you're telling me that you came from the ocean to escape a marriage that you want no part in, your real name is Blue which I'm guessing you got that name because the ocean is blue, and you're not actually Bo." Blue nodded to everything he said confirming everything he was saying was correct "So, what I'm getting is that you're a mermaid?" "Yes." Blue said looking at Jack with a serious look on her face, they both stood there in silent before Jack finally said "I'm going back home" "W-What?" Blue said in surprise as Jack began to walk away "Why are you leaving?!" "Because this is crazy! You're crazy! And I don't want to get involved with some crazy chick who believes she's a mermaid princess!" Jack yelled turning to face Blue "W-Wait you said you would listen!" "And I did" Blue just stood there frustration filling her body "Fine maybe you have to see it to believe it." "Huh?" Blue turned towards to ocean as she began to take of her shirt and shorts running towards the water naked "H-H-Hey! W-What are you doing?! You're gonna get sick!" Jack yelled out as he watched Blue jump into the water leaving Jack on his own with only the waves hitting the beach to keep him company.
