Sam's *POV*

I never would have thought everything would turn out like this.

~Flashback 1532~

"Should we head out now?" I yelled out so Max my friend, that was like a sister, could here me. "One moment." She yelled back and I went to gather all my things before we walked out the door of our house.

If we would have known that walking out and having this fate would take us to present day, I'm not sure If we would have taken that route.

As we walked down the streets filled with people we stopped along the way to check out different stores that interested us. Today felt like it was going to be a good one and I couldn't help but feel happy. Max and I were just on our way to pick up a few important things in the market, but everything was brighter and just had a sense of joy in the air.

Everything changed when the darkness enveloped us.

We had been walking in a less crowded area of town when we walked past an ally way. Men jumped out at us covering our mouths with cloth and dragging us away as our struggle slowly turned to silent whimpers. They had kidnapped us and changed everything we knew about life, about the world.

Later I woke up to see Max and me tied up. She was still asleep and I prayed she wasn't dead. A man then noticed I was awake and walked towards me and I was down right scared. "Oh don't be frightened kitten." The man smirked and that just frightened me more. "You'll soon be feeling real good." He winked and walked away. Frightened didn't even begin to describe my feelings anymore. I didn't want to think about what he was going to do to us. Closing my eyes a warm tear slid down my cheek heating my face. I didn't know that, that tear would be the last one. The next thing I knew a painful pleasure hit me and once more I blacked out taking one last look at Max who had blood running from her neck.

The next time I woke up a new sensation overtook me. My senses were enhanced, my emotions were out of control, and I was a train wreck, yet I surprisingly felt very good. What had that man done to us? I tried to talk, but I was still tied up with cloth in my mouth. Turning my head to look at Bayleigh she was already awake and looked just as terrified as I was. The same man who had come up to me before approached us and started talking sweetly. "Don't worry kittens I know everythings changed, but it's for the better." He smiled fakely at us. "Now lets get those nasty ropes off you." He first came over to me and I was scared, but I didn't shake or shed a tear. He carefully cut the ropes off me and the first thing I did when I was free from the restraint of the ropes, has cursed me for the rest of my life. Ripping away from the man I tore open his throat with my bare hands splattering blood across the room. Smelling the blood I was driven crazy and bit into the dead mans neck draining his blood until none of it was remaing.

I turned my head over to the look at the frightened Max, but I could tell that she was feeling the same compulsion from the smell of blood. Running over to her I quickly untied her grabbing her hand and racing out of the building blood still covering my body. All I could think was that we must get out of here. And we did escape. But the changes were extreme and only time could tell us what was going to happen to us next.

~End of Flashback~

I wonder what would have happened if we hadn't made those decisions. I thought this as I headed down the streets with Max. Today everything has changed, today is 2015.
