Most of the time people assume I'm adopted because of the color of my eyes. Both of my parents have light blue eyes, and my siblings take after them. I, on the other hand, have an almost golden shade of orange eyes. My mom likes to say they're amber. I swear, one day my parents are going to surprise me for my birthday and yell "surprise! You're adopted!" Besides from my eyes, I look a lot like my mom. We both have the same blonde hair, and ivory colored skin, and both my parents say I have my mom's smile.
I used to be bullied in elementary school because no other kid had the same color eyes as me. Then in middle school, everyone was just scared of me. There were rumors spreading saying I was an actual demon and was sent to Earth to watch over the kids at the school I went to. My freshman year of high school was a lot better though. I made quite a good group of friends and hung out with them most of the year.
But then we moved here. Life was just getting better in New York, but my dad got a job here and we were forced to move. I over exaggerated before. It's not all bad. Besides, if there are more boys like Luca around here, then I wouldn't suffer so much.
Right?
