It was a cool crisp winter night in London, nothing but the faintest of sounds could be heard among the swishing of the lapping lake. The moon glistened, beaming a dim light on the city.

In a dark alley lurked four shadows. They seemed to be waiting for something, hiding in the depths of the thick jungle of buildings and the tangle of thorns blowing, rustling and scattering in the wind. A man with sharp features paced impatiently, back and forth whilst another with his black raven hair sat on the floor, staring at the scraps of food laying rotting on the cold pavement.

An audible sigh came from their right, a casted silhouette on the tarmac from a tall, slender girl. Her hair was a fiery red, one that spelt vengeance and anger. She fiddled with her fingers frustratedly, her waves of hair blowing in the icy breeze. Heat radiated around her, the boiling exasperation growing more vividly by the minute. She was the least discreet of the group yet the most mysteriously mystical.

Hisses went round, the youngest of them all but by far not the weakest, she blended into the darkness, the only visible feature where her green piercing eyes. Most people adored her, for she was at times a timid character. Others feared her, remembering her sudden temperamental outbursts.

"Let's go" The tall man with the slick brown fringe spoke deeply, walking away from the other three.

"Why can't we stay here and wait a little longer?" another dark voice called from behind

"We can't stay here expecting for our prey to come to us, nobody is daft enough to walk straight into a trap" each word becoming less audible as he stalked agilely into the distance.

"Always making decisions for himself, he should ask our opinion for one" Kaida breathed irritably glaring at the direction Dan had just left with her flaming amber eyes, Koneko slipping silently and unseen after the footsteps Kaida despised that had passed by a few moments ago.

Phil just shrugged, he wasn't really one to judge or get upset by situations, he was however a strong opportunist, no opportunity went under his radar or above his beaded stare.

"We should just follow him, I'm sure he knows where he is going" He mumbled in response. A defeated look painted across her face; it wasn't fair. Kaida traipsed behind, lagging slowly as she frowned hard.

Lamp posts flickered violently as they trailed through the empty witnessing streets. The moon glowed with purpose as the leader continued, steal gaze set on one goal as he snarled. Koneko was following close behind, unfazed by whatever was going on, she just wanted to go somewhere safe and warm for once, instead of raiding people's lives. Why was she involved in this mess in the first place? It wasn't even her money that Hayden owed, so why would she be bothered? Nonetheless, she carried on, in hope that they would stop for some rest somewhere, somewhere without being spotted by police. Koneko was often the background noise, but without sound. She never seemed to be bothered by much and never cared to fight unless she really had to. The same couldn't be said for Kaida or even Dan.
