There is power here, there has always been and there always will be. And where there is power, there will be those who wish to control it. That's why they built a castle here. The Sorcerer King was powerful on his own but he wanted my power. He wanted the power for himself, and so did his sons after him. They killed each other for it. There will always be a fight for power, and there will always be a price to be paid.

That was a very long time ago when my shadow could cast darkness over the realm. I was too proud to realize that I was not invincible. I may not die, but I was weakened and locked away. I was forgotten, left to rot at the unforgiving hands of time. I slept in the darkness for centuries, waiting for the day I can once again see them beg for my mercy. I wait in silence for the one strong enough to break my curse.

Some came and tried to set me free, they all failed. Only the one who trapped me could ever truly give me freedom. And for so long I worried that person would never come.

But it won't be much longer now. I feel her.

She is near.
