I make an Enemy

The first thing I notice when I emerge from the portal is the sky. The moon was full and had a tint of orange around its rim. The sky was clear showing different constellations. It was a pretty tint of blue and purple.

I turn to Trio and say," The paper says that we would come in the back yard of the house". I point to the house in front of us "So it must be this one".

" Ok how about what school we go to". I open the folder in my hand. "It says we start school Thursday. We go to Evergreen High school, or EG for short". "I believe our bags are already in the house, and Greg told me that today here, is Sunday." " Wait, tree who is Greg".

It is Tuesday already and I am laying on the couch while Trio is making herself a sandwich.

"Come on Car", I turn to her and shout what. " If your going to lay on the cou-". She is cut off when the doorbell rings.

I stare at her dumbfounded, "Fine, I'll get it"
I say in a sarcastic tone. I open the door to see a kid about 17 staring at me. Let me just say that I was not expecting anyone so I was wearing an oversized shirt with a pair of volleyball shorts under.

"Um, hi" I said not trying to show I was irritated. The kid was a boy. But not just any boy he had Blue/green eyes, he looked built,  and he had dark brown hair that could almost be black. And let's just say he was hot and cute at the same time.

" When your done checking me out I would love to tell you why I am here",he said in an annoyed voice, he didn't want to be here and you could tell.

"I wasn't checking your ugly ass out", "Sure you weren't". I roll my eyes," Why are you here, oh and who the hell are you".

"My name is Luke Hamilton, and I live next door" He had this grin on his face and ig was freaking hot "Doesn't explain why your here, Hamilton".

"I live next door and my mom wanted me to come say hi to our new neighbors", he pauses, " Who are you then?".

"My name is Reese Carson, and as you can tell I just move here." I talk to him like he is a six year old and I am teaching him how to tie his shoes. "Well Carson are you the only one home?" He asks me. "Um yeah I am".

I hear Trio yell at me asking who is at the door and luke just looks at me. He then walks past me into the house like he owns the place. I run past him to where Trio was she doesn't even look at me and she asks me again who was at the door.

She finally looks up at me and sees Luke. "Uh, this is Hamilton , Tree". "My name is luke do not call me Hamilton". " Um, nice to meet you I am Trio". Luke looks at me" Didn't you just call her Tree?". "It is a nickname" Trio answers for me.

"Sorry Tree but Hamilton here was just leaving". " No I wasn't", I give him a look and he gives one back but this time it came with a smirk.

" Oh, well I was just going to make dinne- wait do you wanna stay for dinner". It was her turn to get a deathly glare from me.

" No he has to get going like I said", I answer for him". "Actually", he pauses and looks at me, " I think I will stay but just let me call my mom she isn't home and my dad is on a business trip". "Ok" Tree says.

We are all now sitting at the dinner table not any of us saying a word. It wasn't awkward, thank God, but it wasn't not weird.

"So where are your guy's parents", he looks at Tree then at me and looks away. "They are out of town, her parents, I mean I live with her". "Why what happened", " Nothing it is just she was moving and went with her she is kinda my only friend". That was a complete lie remember Jason, Sam,Tyler the guys on my team and so on.

" I can tell, you are not the prettiest girl", he pauses and looks me up and down( my upper half my my other half when under the table). "You're more on the ugly side". " You're the one talking. You look like a monkey that got loose from the Zoo."

" Oh and I know a way to make you at least look decent", I look at him then at my plate it had mashed potatoes and some green beans on it. I then pick it up and dumb it on  his head. He shood up and gave me a deathly stare. Let's just say if looks could kill I would be six feet under.

" What the hell Carson!". " There you go you look much better now you are on the pretty side".

It all happened to fast I didn't know what had even happened but next thing I knew I was grabbed by my collar. "Listen here you little bitch you will regret this you got me". "Yeah sure", I pause and do a really high pitch voice " I am so scared".

He let's me go and starts to walk to the door so I call out.

"Carson 1,  Hamilton 0"
