Deena slowly peeled her eyes open and rolled over, she really didn't want to get up today. She didn't want to face the world, she wanted to stay in her cozy bed. Alas, she must get up, if not because she had six pairs of eyes boring into her, then for the relief of that morning trip to the bathroom. Deena sat up and all six dogs jumped up and clambered for the door, leaving Deena in a suddenly less cozy room.
Deena let the dogs out into the yard and made a mad dash to the bathroom. Filling all six food bowls and taking them out to each kennel, Deena stopped to glance down into the long forgotten pasture down the hill, once again thinking of fencing it and adding to the yard. Dogs fed and outside, Deena made herself some coffee and went down to the art room to work on her latest sketch, it was hard to due as she just don't feel inspired these days.
With her engagement called off and her self isolation in this canyon, she just didn't have a lot of inspirational things in her life right now. If only she knew how much her life was about to change.
