an accident

I got on the bus and looked around for a seat. Chris smiled and motioned for me to come over. I hesitated but ended up sitting next to him.
"you're lookin good" he said once I had sat down
"thanks" I replied with a smile.
I had known Chris for over 2 years now, he was my best friend.  Although everyone wanted us to be more than that, we were just friends.
"Did u do the maths homework"
"Oh that was due in today?"
"Yeah u dick now who am I meant to copy off"
I rolled my eyes at him and went on my phone.
"yesterday-"
"it was an accident Chris. We were both drunk." I cut him off, looking him in the eyes.
He nodded and went on his phone.

10 minutes later me and chris had gotten off the bus and we were heading towards the rest of our group.
"do u actually eat ur tampons"
I looked at Chris.
"what"
"ur tampons do you-"
"no man ew"
chris laughed and shoved me slightly.
"I'm just joking I'm not that stupid"
I shook my head and slightly laughed. At least things weren't awkward between us.
Lucas, hanna and aaden were waiting for us by the lockers
"So the lovebirds finally decided to show up" Lucas said, grinding against the lockers and making moaning noises.
"Oh chris yes faster" he fake moaned.
Aaden groaned in disgusted and shoved Lucas as I went red with embarrassment. Chris told Lucas to fuck off and the bell rang.

"sooooo what did you say" hanna asked, as we walked in the opposite direction from the boys.
"I told him it was an accident and that we were just drunk"
"what, why the fuck would u do that"
"well what did u want me to say!"
"that u love him"
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"he doesn't like me hanna, I would've ruined our friendship."
"you must be tripping because he is in love. Have you seen the way he looks at you"
I sat down behind my desk as hanna rambled on. I tuned her out and started thinking. Did he like me? No, I was like a sister to him. That's all I'll ever be. Well I'll just have to have a crush on him forever then.
