Mondo's POV:
After a few days he was in a better mental state. I was gonna ask him. "Hey Taka" I say. "Hey Mondo!" He says in his usual cheerful tone. I almost wanted to cry. It was the first time he had sounded genuinely happy in weeks. "I wanted to ask you something" "Yeah?" "So now since you're in a better mental state, I was thinking you could tell me..." I point to the hickeys lining his shoulders to his neck. "those came from" "..." He starts to quiver. "Okay, Okay sorry for asking" I say as I pull him close. This was the tenth breakdown this week. "Th-They came fr-from L-Leon" "Why?" "B-Becaus-se he kn-knows th-that I-I'm fr-fragile" He starts to sob. "I-I'm sor-ry" He murmurs between sobs. "hey, hey It's fine" I say as he digs his head into my chest. "you wanna go get some food?" "s-sure" I wipe a tear from his face. He smiles. "I love you" "I love you too" I pick him up and spin him around. Then I plant a kiss on his lips. "Oh while you were asleep I picked up your crutches from the hospital" "Oh thanks!" "Is it your first time using them?" "Nope" "Okay" I hand him a sweater and pants. I walk out of the room. He's used crutches before? Why would he need them? Whatever. I'm overthinking it. "Mondo! You can come in now!" He says cheerfully. I walk in. He is so fuckin adorableeeee. "Okay do you wanna change your bandages now, or when we come back?" "We can do them now!" "Okay c'mere" I say as I sit on the bed. He moves closer as I grab the alcohol and bandages. "Where did this come from?" I say as point to a slit on the back of his neck. "I f-forgot" "okay"
