Flashback: NXT Season 3- Dance Off

OOOOOH YEAH BABY! NXT TIME!

Ahh NXT Season 3... What a show huh? Or at least I would say that if it was, like ya know, good? I mean the commentary was great and it introduced us to AJ, Kaitlyn, and Naomi who would go onto actually have good careers in the WWE (Naomi is still competing). ANYWAY, When the news broke that the WWE Champion would be a pro on the show really helped bring some sense of legitimacy to the show. We start this flashback on the first challenge of Season 3, which was the prestigious Dance off!

*Author POV*

The camera was in the ring as Matt Stryker explained what the challenge was gonna be and why it was important to win.

Matt: "So with that said it's time to put your best foot forward! We are going to have a Diva's Dance Competition!"

While the crowd cheered and the girls looked excited, the camera went to the stage where (Y/N), WWE title draped over his shoulder, could be seen face palming and looking like he was already done with the entire show. Matt called up Naomi to dance then invited up Michael Cole, who was wearing knee high red socks an ballerina shoes, to be her dance partner. (Y/N) again facepalmed and sighed since he simply couldn't believe how stupid this show was and it was only the beginning.

The crowd cheered for Naomi when she was done. Jamie was next and well.. The crowd didn't seem to like it. After their dance. Stryker told Cole to go sit back down at commentary and decided to get a different dance partner for the Divas..

Matt: "We're gonna need another dance partner for AJ here! How about... The WWE Champion (Y/N) (L/N)!"

The crowd cheered/boo'ed as the cameras cut to (Y/N) who just had a deadpan look on his face. (Y/N) looked down, looked around the arena, sighed, and then made his way down to the ring with his title. He could be seen mouthing

(Y/N): "This is one of the stupidest things I've ever done.."

(Y/N) entered the ring, belt still on his shoulder, and simply stared down Stryker

Matt: "Alright (Y/N) I'm sure you already know the rules so-"

(Y/N) snatched the mic from Stryker

(Y/N): "Before we begin I would just like to say that this whole contest is a joke and winning it means nothing."

He then tossed the mic back to Stryker, propped his belt up in the corner, and stood next to AJ

Matt: "Thank you for that inspiring message (Y/N). However winning this challenge does grant you points towards immunity! You have 30 seconds! On your mark, get set, DANCE!"

(Skip to 3:37 in the video and instead of Tony Chimmel it's (Y/N).)

After the dance concluded (Y/N)'s face went from deadpan to being shocked after what had just happened

Matt: "(Y/N) you are the WWE's next breakout diva."

As Stryker went to introduce Maxine (Y/N) then again took the mic from Stryker

(Y/N): "I-I think that Maxine should have a different partner! I volunteer Tony Chimmel!"

(Y/N) then gave the mic back to Stryker, retrieved his belt, gave AJ a thumbs up, and made his way back up the ramp to his seat and all the while he still had a shocked/surprised look on his face. The rest of the contest went off without a hitch and at the end, Naomi was declared the winner!
