Rainard, knowing the doubt Lenny is feeling inside must come with the courage to clear the path of which the two of them would be trekking further. Aside from assuring Lenny about how he really feels for her, Rainard must also come to terms with himself as to how he plans to proceed without hurting anybody most especially Lenny. Taking it up a notch is one thing but having the will to do so is another. 

Doing what he normally does, Rainard, aside from accompanying Lenny home started to ask Lenny on dates. It wasn't easy for him since he doesn't even know how dates are supposed to be like. He just got his reference from anime series he used to watch. Well,  giving credits to kissanime and aniplex, things are working out so far. Their first date was by the way, a movie date.

Rainard might look composed on the outside but its quite the opposite  as he is clueless of what to do since he has not experienced watching a movie by himself let alone going to dates. To get a picture of what kind of person Rainard is: he does not even have the courage to eat on a fast food chain all by himself since he fears going to the counter to order and pay. He only enjoys staying at home and aside from watching anime, his hobby is sleeping. Before the date, he even researched and practiced over and over again what to do, what to say and how typical date works. Again as a reference, he even watched all of those romantic-comedy anime he used to stay up late for hoping that he would pick up the romantic part of it not just the comedic ones. Aside from these hurdles being plotted out and straightened by Rainard, he has this mentality that guys should be the one paying for everything so he also steps into the realms of accounting just make sure he brings enough money. This was a task for Rainard since he grew up only spending what is needed for a day. An example for this is when Rainard was still on highschool. He only get to have money for fare and an extra 50 pesos in case something came up like a project expense or so. He even makes it a point that the fare money is separated firsthand in his second wallet just to make sure that he won't accidentally spend it. But the worry for that walked away since Lenny was not the kind of girl who enslaves a poor little heart with which Rainard has. Lenny is mature enough about those kind of stuff. Then for Rainard came the first hurdle in doing movie dates: Buying the popcorn and drinks. With a brave face, he walks towards the snack booth to buy and asked Lenny what she wanted. It was an awkward moments since the most powerful  and destructive phrase came to light the supposed-to-be-typical movie date; the phrase called "You Choose." It wasn't just on the snack booth but as well as picking the movie to watch. In the end,  the genre of the movie was comedy just like how Lenny and Rainard looks like even before watching the movie. As for the goods, Rainard insisted on paying for everything but Lenny would not allow it. So they settled with Rainard paying for the popcorn and Lenny for the drinks. I think most guys would agree that it is not the movie they are after on movie dates but with whom they are with during the duration of the movie. This was the very thing that was playing on the back of Rainard's mind for the first few minutes of the movie. Seeing Lenny smiling, laughing, and eating that cheese-flavored popcorn beside him. But it changed when Rainard started to enjoy the movie too. He laughed loudly and childishly. He even criticized some parts of the movie which shifted Lenny's attention to him. Out of embarrassment, Rainard turns silent for a moment then he goes back at it. He just can't help himself. To Lenny this was more enjoyable than the movie. She gazed upon Rainard with a face of contentment and the movie date which was referenced after an anime wasn't so bad after all. After the movie, Rainard accompanied Lenny home while they enjoy the comfort of each other talking about how the day went. The final hurdle of a date which Rainard must conquer was how to properly send Lenny off and end the day. They were at the gate of Lenny's apartment. Rainard's heart was beating so fast. Even though he practiced this part the most he can't seem to say a word to Lenny. He just froze there. Little did he know that Lenny would break the ice with something that would embed a wonderful memory in his heart - a kiss.
