I sat, still as could be, eyes closed, listening to the silence closing in around me, even the water had stopped it's endless rhythm. Suddenly I sat up being frightened by the loud noise of clanking metal, I looked through the piercing darkness to find its owner.

Nothing.

I decided to ignore the feeling and sit back down in my corner I call my bed. But some time later I heard it again. I became more curious, got up, and leaned my body against the cold iron bars that kept me in this prison. This time I could hear footprints in the distance coming closer with each step and I could make out the faint voices, "Which one did she say put him in?" After that another pair of shoes added to the noise, "The one closest to the monster over there." My mind began to wonder who they could be talking about 'Moster' then I realized I was the only one down here there for they were right, I am a monster, and I always will be.

Pushing that thought to the corner of my mind, I pierced through the blackness and caught a glimpse of a radiant glow inching towards me as the voices got louder. I winched when my eyes meant the owner of the light and carried on searching behind the lantern. It was a man. His body almost glowing from the light beaming off the silver armor. No, it was two men dressed as the queens guards, I would never forget the two men who threw me in this black hole.

Another drifted into my sight, but this one was different. He wore nothing but the everyday clothes of a villager, my guess striped of his clothing and handed something a bit more practical for a dungeon, I could relate since I'm stuck wearing nothing but the rags of an awful off-white nightgown.

The prison bars were touched by the night holding the lantern and latter drifted open while the prisoner was thrown into his new home. The other turned around only to see me glaring at him, I guess he was amused,"Well well well, I've heard of the monstrous beauty but have never come across seeing her face, and from I can tell there isn't anything worth viewing anymore." He smirked while the other one joined him in laughter. I was to weak to pick a fight, and without my magic I would only look like a fool with hurtful words, but I guess that just isn't me,"Oh, go find a women who gives a crap." Nope this place still hasn't changed my attitude. The laughter dies down and suddenly it had gotten more serious. In a fit of anger the guard ripped open my cell causing me to crash on the ground, his hand flew behind his head and I braced myself for the blow, it didn't help as the iron fist struck my cheek. I prepared for the next hit and stayed in the same position on the ground when his left arm grabbed the material of my dress and I could immediately tell this one would be the one to dread. I did so, counting the seconds before I felt the bearable pain again, but as the seconds passed I felt brave enough to look up. The grip on my clothing was ripped away and the man was no longer standing taller than me.

I saw the movement and the sound of grimace coming from the ground and was astonished to see the other prisoner giving his best effort to take down the knight. It wasn't difficult. For this man was built with muscle and easily took him down. Without the need to be removed he looked face to face with the useless man and stated, "Do not lay a hand on her." and quietly shifted back to his cell. I could grow to like this man, I thought when the boys got their message and left the lantern without arguing.

I was drifting off into oblivion when I heard the recognizable voice from across the way,"Your welcome, by the way."

I rolled my eyes,"I don't recall saying thank you."

"I kind of inferred it." This time as he spoke I could hear the undeniable accent coming from his lips. I couldn't admit it gave me shivers up my spine.

"So prisoner, what are you in for?" all I wish was to see the face that matched his voice, I have a feeling I wouldn't be surprised as to what it looked like, right now the only thing I could seewas his cheek bones that glistened from the lantern.

"Oh just the minor things, Stealing from the queen and giving the gold to the villagers. But nothing serious." I smirked from his answer and gave mine,"Well if It was my castle you were breaking into I would have already had your head rolling on the ground."

I could tell he was taken aback by my comment as he tried again,"Oh, wicked are we now? But come on you wouldn't acually harm me like that now would you?" He has no idea what I would do.

"Let's just say if you would have asked me seven years ago the answer would have been you screaming....... By the way, just so we don't get in each other's hair when were out of here, what do they call you theif?'

"....Robin of Locksley, but I'm prefered by my more comonly known name. Robin Hood. And what about you m'lady, what is it they call you?"

I adjusted the shackles around my ackles. Did he really want to know? "Regina.... but you probably know me by my more comonly known name. The Evil Queen."
