(This is just a first chapter, but probably all there will be. )

There was nothing I could do, no way to take it back. This place wasn't like my old life, the old normal. When you make a bad decision and get suspended maybe, or grounded, or someone is mad at you for a while. Here, you make a mistake even a small one, and you loose someone forever. I don't know what to do with myself now. Most days I wander around the hallways lost. I don't speak unless someone asks me a specific question. Luckily all the people who volunteered to clean up and be security to keep me safe- no to keep other people safe from me, none of them want to talk to me anyways. They all loved her, she was the friendly one that everyone adored. I only got by because I came with her. Now that she's gone nobody really knows what to do with me. For now I'm stuck in the house (more like a prison) with nothing but the thoughts swirling around in my head. Sometimes my mother comes to visit, but I can't see her. If I did I don't think I'd ever be okay again. She was the only other one who knew Lilura before she was Lilura . She took us in, and gave us names. Lilura loved her like her own mom, but she could never replace my mom, who had given me so much, just for me to go ruin everything and run away.

I could hear someone walking behind me now, they'd been following me for some time, I was just choosing to ignore them. But they were closer now. I think whoever it was might be trying to be quiet, but I was trained by the best. So unless Asena herself was behind me, I'd know. I kept walking letting them follow along behind me. There were security all around so I didn't care. Although I'm pretty sure over half the security would just let me die, if they thought they'd get away with it. Lilura was supposed to live, not me.

I can still see it in my head. Every night when I fall asleep, I see it over and over again.

We had gotten an assignment, our final assignment before we became official Fintan. Fintan were supposed to be the most dangerous, special jobs in all of Yophiel. Their only jobs, and rules were to kill who they were told, don't trust anyone but your partner, and don't let anyone know you're a Fintan. Our final test and assignment was separate though. We were woken up in the dead of night. And told to pack the small bags we were given. Only take our weapons and anything we wanted to have for the rest of our lives. I grabbed the locket with the picture of Lilura and my knives. I was taken about halfway across the city (I was blindfolded) but from the amount of time we were in the van, and the approximate speed it should've gotten me halfway across Liham , unless we took back alleys in which case we were now out of the city. The blind fold wasn't taken off until I was secured to a chair, and my weapons were removed. Might as well of left the blindfold on though for all I could see. A voice came over a speaker.
"Your final assignment is to get back into the city, and using the weapons we took from you kill Lilura". I froze. "That will be all, good luck" I knew they were watching so I had to act, no time to sit on my ass and plan. I slipped out the "Bobby pin" I always keep in my hair, then slipped off the coating revealing a very sharp blade. The ropes were off in two minutes tops. I knew this assignment was based on time, stealth, technique, and following orders. The last one would be the hard part. I felt around the room until I stumbled over my backpack, took the lock pick out, and felt for the door. Once out of the room, I was surprisingly out of the building. But still in the middle of fucking nowhere's. I had to get into the city, with no money, and no transportation, and no time to walk. Actually I did have transportation, as long as the Fintan didn't mind me borrowing their car. Luckily I could jumpstart it before they knew what was happening. Within 30 minutes of reckless driving I was in the city. I'd assumed they would put Lilura as far away from me as possible. So I headed on foot to the bad parts of the city. I had no way to know what her assignment was but I did know she would cone to me. Once I climbed the walls of a tallish building I put a flashlight, and red blanket down. Creating a red beam of light. I'd give her 10 minutes if she saw it, then it wouldn't take her any longer to get here. At 8:49 I heard climbing on the ladder. The minute she got on the roof everything fell out and I told her everything. The assignment, how I couldn't do it, and how she'd have to kill her target and take the job. She just stared at me. "What's wrong ? All you're doing is wasting your time." "My assignment... was you. I was supposed to kill you." I was shocked. Just because I'd let her take the job doesn't mean I'd let her kill me. "Sorry not happening, I'd like to live a little longer. So let's run. Get out of Yophiel and go somewhere hidden  and safe." Then she lunged. It was reflex that saved me. All that training kicked in and I blocked and back up. She knew I was better with knives, she excelled with the bow and arrow. But I had was a witch with the blades. She lunged again, and I was still unprepared and let my instinct take over. Block, push back, and attack. I felt my blade hit the target. I dropped it and backed away. She collapsed. It was unbelievable. At 8:49 she came, and by 9:00 she was dead. I ran of course, but they caught me, locked me here in the seemingly endless house of hallways.
