Ivy was sick of being viewed as the enemy, sick of being seen for being her mother's daughter, she wanted to be free of the wretched woman that people called her mother. She is no mother to Ivy; Her older sister practically raised her, and after Ana's death she was left alone following in the shadow of her mother. She wanted to get out but how?
Tilly, on the other hand, was having the exact opposite problem to Ivy; she was invisible. No one knew her, she was just a homeless orphan living in a shipment container. She wanted to be seen, be seen for her and not just her problems! So when luck came across her and she full-blown ran into THE Ivy Belfrey, She knew her luck was going to change. The girl looked a lot different from how she normally does, she had ditched her fancier attire for something more casual and was sporting a crease of worry in her brows.
"Ah, Ms Ivy Belfrey! What seems to trouble your pretty face?" Ivy was quite taken aback by the blonde's words, and with a raised eyebrow looked her up and down. She was a scrawny but pretty girl- Well would be pretty if it wasn't for the hideous clothes the girl seemed to be wearing. The girl was an inch or two smaller then Ivy, but considering Ivy was wearing heals she was probably taller, and yet the girl seemed to stand tall.
"Why would it matter to you? I don't even know you!"
"But I know you Ms Ivy Belfrey, and you're one of mystery! Names Tilly, and I'm the eyes and ears of Hyperion Heights! I know everyone but no one knows me. No one even sees me."
Ivy couldn't deny that the girl had captured her interest. Maybe she was exactly what Ivy needed.
"You say no one sees you? Would you like people to see you?"
"Only if it's for me and not my achievements or my mother, like you." The girl had snark, Ivy would give her that. Then like a light bulb going off in Ivy's head. She had a plan.
"How would you like to work for me, Tilly?"
"Work with you? The Ms Ivy Belfrey? What's the cost?"
Ivy smirked up at the blonde, a mischievous gleam in her eyes. She bent down a bit and started whispering something into Tilly's ear. Listening carefully to every word Tilly's lips grew into a mischievous smile, one that perfectly matched Ivy's.
"I say you have a deal, Ms Ivy Belfrey." Tilly did a silly bow smiling up at Ivy before disappearing into the walls of a dark alley, leaving Ivy staring at where she was. The catch of Tilly working with her was crazy and risky, she could lose everything, but Ivy. Well, she was willing to take the risk. After all what could truly go wrong?
