Prologue

Never knew that a single day can change everything in person's life  ,

but it did , it changed me , my life , who I was , everything !

Why ?

How?

When?

I'll tell you everything , from the right beginning !

"Lan ! Baby , get up ! you dont wanna get late for opening ceremony ,now do ya ?" my mom screamed her lungs out from downstairs

I was already Irritated with this routine of my mom, screaming every morning , not only waking me up but neighbourhood kids too 

I sluggishly sat up on my bed , rubbing eyes in attempt to wipe off sleep .

"God, mom! Stop screaming ! And stop calling me BABY ! i'm freaking 18 year old adult !" I replied her with equal loudness in my voice

I can hear her footsteps as she climbs stairs and walk towards my room

 " Now that's my good baby " she chirped happily while opening the door

I stood up from my bed , yawning 

"Mom if you're not gonna stop calling me those embarrassing names then at least don't say those while screaming , you don't know but now even younger kids tease me cause of this  nick names you call me !"

"Aww, i'm sorry baby " , she ruffled my already messy hair

"Get ready real quick honey , your breakfast is ready ! " she said and left the room shutting door behind her .

I walked into the bathroom , washed my face , brushed my teeth , slipped on floor ...... Uh well I guess that's not important

So I took a real quick shower and used my favourite body works , can't help I love the smell ,

I was on my way choosing cloths to wear when mom again yelled from downstairs

"Lan, how much time you're taking honey ! breakfast is getting cold dear !"

you know this is why whole neighbourhood knows our family , we are the loudest family in the morning or to say in other way , we do work of what rooster does in village , to wake people in morning

 " Bock Lan bock wake up bock bock !"

" In a minute Mom !" I replied

I chose a grey sweat shirt and skinny black denim jeans , you can say I like dark colors ,  they r best plus they suit my pale white skin color anyway

I dumped my new books in my bag and flew downstairs ,

"Morning dad " I said as I sat on chair ,

he nodded in response, already half way eating his breakfast

" Lan, there your loops and milk are ready on table " mom said from inside the kitchen

" Got it !" I said as I poured milk and loops inside a bowl and started eating

Till then my dad completed breakfast and got out of his seat,

" Lan i'm having an important meeting today ,so I won't be able to drop you , you can take your mom's car for today " my dad informed .

I groaned internally, my mom was a rough driver and so you get it, her car was not in best condition even after thousand times of servicing ,its still same

" Then what about mom ? " I asked hoping this can help and change dad's mind

" I'm carpooling with Shyla honey , she'll pick me up today " my mom said with a wide grin

I sighed in despair cause there's no way out now , as you see my mom is a surgeon in city's biggest hospital and Shyla is her colleague ,an orthopaedic in the hospital , both were college buddies and successfully got into same hospital ,

While my dad is chairman of his " Carl & Co. ltd" company

" Alright then " I said standing up from my chair " i'll get going now "

" Bye mom " I said while kissing her cheek " Bye dad " I waved towards dad

" A kiss for mom , what about me ? " dad said doing his creepy wiggling eyebrow dance

" You want a kiss  dad ? " I said in monotonous tone giving my dad a poker face .

Dad gave a hearty laugh , as we walked out of house door

" Nope ,i'm just messing with ya son " 

I sat inside mom's car and started the engine , the car roared to life making more noise then it should .

I took a deep breath ,

Here goes nothing ! 

and I drove out towards the main road .
