*Emma's P.O.V.*
After I showered, I shaved and carefully got dressed.
I sighed as I looked at the dress hanging on a hanger, on the doorknob of the bathroom.
It was white, and strapless. it went down to half-way down my thigh, and had rhinestones and sparkles rising from the bottom of the skirt, fading as it got closer to the waistband. I wore pantyhouse, and silver heels. Doing my makeup, I used silver eyeshadow to surround my eyes, and had it trail off and blend into my skin. I put on bright red lipstick, and carefully put it in my hand-purse, along with my new phone and my keys.
"Hurry up in there! He'll be here soon!" Arielle called, and I decided to fix my hair. After blow drying it, I braided it into a long french braid, that went over my shoulder that had no sleeve. I gave myself one last look in the mirror before strutting out of the bathroom, putting on a little show for Arielle. "Oh la la!" She laughed. "You look gorgeous!"
"As do you!" I joked. She wore plaid pajama bottoms, and a white pullover sweater. Her light brown hair was in a ponytail, and she wore very little makeup. Although, I did think she was beautiful.
"Where's he taking you?" She asked.
"Some fany restaurant downtown," I blushed.
"Awww!" She squealed, and we heard the doorbell. Arielle raced to answer it, and I knew I had no chance, considering I was in heels, so I leaned against our couch, as Arielle attempted chit-chat when really she was just embarassing herself.
They talked for a while, and I realized that she was never going to call me over, so I stood up and walked to the door. "You trying to steal my man?" I joke, and she laughs. I turn my head to Gavin, and flash my teeth. "Sorry I took so long, I was just putting on some final touches."
"Well the wait was worth it. You look stunning!" I beam, and let my head rest on his chest, as he folds his arms around me. I sigh heavily, happy to be held in his muscular arms.
Arielle and I both met him a few months ago. It was a couple of weeks after I moved in with her, and she had forced me out to the mall. We were walking through, when we saw him playing guitar for money. He was playing and singing "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, which happened to be one of my favorite songs. We went and stood and watched him play for a while, and when he finished the song we each gave him twenty dollars, and introduced ourselves. We both agreed he was IMMENSLY adorable, with his tousled brown hair that he was constantly flipping (similar to how Harry fixed his - but I ignored that part) and his noticeably blue eyes. He wore a Romans t-shirt, and ripped jeans. We chatted for a while, and Arielle left to keep shopping, but I continued to watch him play. When he was finally packing up, he asked me if I wanted to go to a coffee shop in the mall, and get some donuts or something. So of course I said yes... I had felt a connection. He packed up his guitar and we went and ate. In fact, we talked into the evening, until they made us leave for closing.
After that we had spent every moment of every day together. And now he was taking me to some expensive restaurant for our six month anniversary. Yes, six months. I stepped back in looked at him, dressed up in a tux.
"For you." He said, handing me a single rose, making me blush.
"You two are so cute!" Arielle gushed, and I glared.
"We should get going." He said, and I took his hand as we walked down the hall. "Our reservation is for 7,"
I smiled. His voice was so low, and husky, it sent shivers down my spine. In fact, a lot of things about him gave me butterflies. I loved the fact that he made the reservation for 7. Normally someone would make it for 9, but neither of us can wait that long to eat dinner.
He drove me in his car. It wasn't a very fancy car, and it was second hand, but I didn't mind. It was nice for him to actually have a car and be able to drive.
"So, how's your university application going?" He asked.
"I haven't sent it yet." I admitted, embarassed. I while ago I decided that I can't let Arielle pay for the entire rent, food, everything. So I was considering applying for university and getting a part time job. But the word I used was considering and now I'm not so sure if I want to apply. It's just too huge a change, and I don't need a university degree to get a part time job.
"You should," He said. "It would be a great opportunity for you. I know how much you want to help Arielle, and move on in life."
I smiled. I loved how he just said "you should" instead of trying to make me do it.
When we got to the restaurant, we ate, but I tried to keep my meal inexpensive, seeing as I know he was still trying to graduate college, and get a proper job, other than performing with his band at Jack Aster's every Monday, Friday, and Saturday.
"So, I got you something." He said, making me blush.
"I got you something too... do you mind if I go first?"
"Go ahead!"
"Great!" I beamed, and pulled out my phone, scrolling through my photos. I brought up one of a brand new guitar - exactly the one he wanted - and showed it to him proudly.
"A picture of a guitar?" He said skeptically.
"No silly!" I laughed, lightly slapping his arm. "I got you the actual guitar. But it was too heavy to carry here, so I left it at my apartment."
"You got me a guitar?" He asked, shocked. "That must've been so expensive!"
"It was no problem. I've been saving up money for no apparent reason since I was 13. I went back to my parent's house and found the jar stashed in my room. I had enough for this, so, I bought it."
He stood up and hugged me tight, picking me up, and spinning me around. I laughed, not caring that the entire restaurant was staring at us.
"My turn!" He said excited. "Now you better love this, because they were expensive."
I gave him my best "excited" smile, making him laugh. He handed me a small envelope, that honestly smelled nicer than me. I opened it up, first to see a card. The front had a drawing of me and Gavin kissing, with little hearts floating around us and popping. I laughed. It must've been his bandmate, Colin. He was an amazing artist. I opened it up, and it said "Happy 6 month anniversary babe! xx -Gavin"
I smiled and pulled two long pieces of paper out of the enevelope. They were cardstock, and laminated.
"Concert tickets?!" I exclaimed, excited to find out who he was taking me to see. I've always told him how much I loved concerts. The adrenaline rush, everyone jumping around you so excited. It was so many people gathered around to see the same thing. There was nothing more fun. "And they're front row. Oh my god!"
"They were so expensive. I bought them for three hundred dollars each! They're actually VIP passes! You can take whoever you want. Maybe your mom, Arielle, me?" He hinted at, winking.
I laughed, but it faded as I saw who we were seeing.
One Direction.
