New friends?

"Cherry"!

"Jemimah"?

"What are you doing here"?

"What do you mean"? "I've gone to school here for six years now".

"There is no way that is possible"! "I've gone here for six years too and I've never seen even a glimpse of you"!

"Well the school is really big I guess", she said shrugging.

You see, Cherry was my best friend up until the fourth grade until her family had to move to another state because her dad got a new job. I haven't seen her since then, so imagine my surprise when I realize that I've been in the same environment with her for six straight years.

"Jemimah"?

"Yes"?, I said jolting out of my thoughts.

"Aren't you going to give me a hug"?

" Oh, sorry. I was just surprised", I said as I pulled her into an embrace.

"I've missed you so much", she said.

"Me too".

We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up and jisting about old memories. It took my mind off the fact that I was about to cry only moments ago. I found out that she moved to Abuja and still lives there but comes to school in Jos.

"Who is this new one in this room"?

"I've seen her in class before".

"Are you sure"?

"Yes".

I look to the direction where the voices are coming from. Two girls about my age stood a bunk away staring at me like I had grown three eyes.

"Chelsea and Lisa, come and say hi to my friend and stop staring like fools", Cherry said.

They shuffled towards us and said, "Hi" in unison

"Hello, I'm Jemimah, but you can call me Mims".

"I'm Chelsea".

"And I'm Lisa".

"Nice to meet you both".

Chelsea has defined facial features, a high cheekbone and a butt chin. Her boobs were well, BOOBS. She looks about 5'8 with shoulder length, dirt brown hair.

Lisa on the other hand has a round, tomato face and puckered up lips. She's not exactly endowed but she has thin long legs and she could easily pass for a model. She has smooth coffee like skin and jet black hair.

After making a little small talk, we all retired to bed because tomorrow was going to be a long and stressful day. Monday... Urghhhhh.
