THE MIXTURE OF RAIN drops hitting the windowsill, and the clock ticking was the only thing filling the blonde girls ears as she bounced her leg up and down anxiously. She chewed on her lip for several seconds as the dark haired women watched her closely, her finger clicking the end of her pen repeatedly. The day had seemed to bring back too many memories for the young adult, as she seemed to be holding her breathe and her blonde hair stick onto her face, her dull brown eyes staring off into the distance as thunder had rumbled through the sky and nearly jumped in her seat.
"Alexia." A soft voice called out, and for the first time since she had began meeting with the women the Marin girl had looked towards the dark haired women, the large bags under her eyes showing clearly. "Explain to me again, When did it all start?"
"When did it all start?" Alexia repeated as a shaky breathe escaped her lips, and her leg had bounced up and down anxiously and she had stared back into space as memories flooded her mind from her teenage years, so much pain.
Alexia Marin sat in the middle of the Hastings barn, music played in the background, the girls were all giggling as they shared a red cup filled with liquor that Hanna, Alexia Marin's older sister had managed to sneak from her mothers liquor cabinet.
Alexia giggled for a few seconds as she looked around the group, the girl sat between Hanna and Aria Montgomery. The younger Marin girl quickly looked over at her older sister before she had tucked her blonde hair behind her ear.
"Are you sure I should be here, Han." Alexia asked the girl softly, and Hanna looked back at her younger sister with furrowed eyebrows.
"Yeah, of course. Alison asked me to invite you here herself," Hanna said seriously, and Alexia just nodded her head for a few seconds at her older sisters words. "Besides, it wouldn't be the first time you've hung out with us."
"That was different." Alexia whispered and Hanna stared back at the other blonde girl for a few seconds, "you either ran into me, or you got stuck with me, I've never got personally invited to hang out with you and your other friends before."
"Well, you did now, so." Hanna told her, and Alexia smiled slightly at the girls words before shaking her head happily.
"Lexi!" A loud squeal filled the girls ears, and Alexia turned her head only to see that Aria was smiling back at her brightly, more like she was beaming at the Marin girl as she held out the red cup towards the girl. "It's your turn."
Alexia looked from Aria, to the cup, back to her older sister, and Hanna just nodded her head telling her if she wanted to drink some of what was inside she could. Alexia let out a small sigh as a breathe had escaped her lips, before smile appeared on her lips and she grabbed the cup from the Montgomery girl, the girls fingertips grazing for a moment before Alexia pulled her hand away from the girls and took a large sip from the drink, and cringing at the taste of it.
"Ah, how do you guys drink this?" The girl groaned, and the other girls all giggled as the girls eyes grew slightly heavy and Hanna had wrapped her arms around her sister as the younger Marin girl leaned on the girls side.
Thunder rumbled in the sky, as the girls all continued giggling together and Alexia set the cup down on the table before as the music shut off and the lights began flickering on and off, Alexia furrowed her eyebrows before sitting upright as the lights had cut off completely.
