~Chapter One~

1st of February 2013~ *Seven hundred years later*

~Sapphire's Point Of View~

Incomplete. Empty. Emotionless. Most of all. Angry. That's how I felt every single day for the past Seven hundred years of my life. Today maybe a little bit more than usual. For more than half of a millennium, on this exact day, I come back to the entrance of the village where I used to live. The village where I fell in love. The village where I wanted to have nothing but beautiful moments and memories. The village where it all fell into broken little pieces that will never be one again.

I always come here and just stand on the outskirts of the town, yet I never go back to see what has changed. I don't go back to see if maybe my brother still lives there. It's all gone yet all still here. I've let it go, yet not completely. On this day it's much worse than usually. I have this feeling like I need to go back. Like he's still there waiting for me, but he isn't. That's why I never did and I never will go back there. He's gone, dead. Just like the old me.

So after I go to the entrance of the town I usually go back to London and walk amongst the humans watching their miserable little lives. Every year on this day all I want to do is kill every single person that crosses my path. So that's what I do.

Right now I was watching a young couple walk down the street while laughing and holding hands. Pathetic, human, and in love. Cute. They're so delusional. Thinking all that lovely-dovely shit will last for long. Well, newsflash. It never really does.

In a second I was in front of them, making their heads snap towards me. I could sense their fear from how fast their hearts were beating and pumping blood through their body. I smirked before moving forward. "Hello there, nice to meet you two. Winter night, snowing- it's o' so romantic now isn't it?" I said smiling as I heard the guy swallow in complete fear, while the girl clung to him for dear life, horrified as well. "You know- walking in this time of the night can be very dangerous." I said seeing their eyes freeze on me watching my every move in total fear while I circled them chuckling slightly.

I felt their blood go through their veins and just then the little veins appeared around my eyes as my fangs began to come out.

"W-What do you w-want?" The guy asked with a shaky and stuttering voice making me laugh lightly and shake my head in amusement. "Oh, nothing really love. Just a bit hungry, that's all." I said as my fangs became visible for both of them which made their eyes go wide. "Would you be kind enough to help me solve that problem of mine?" They stood there like statues as I appeared in front of them.

"I'll take that as a yes then." I said before attacking the guy while the girl next to him screamed for me to stop, but I blocked her out enjoying the taste of warm blood making its way down my throat. It was o' so familiar to me lately. After drinking him dry, I threw his body to the ground. Then I turned to the trembling girl seeing tears coming from her eyes making me think back to when I was that girl. Making my heart clench for only a second, but in a flash I was at her side draining her body in a minute.

Her body hit the ground as I heard someone behind taking a sharp breath into their lungs. I turned around and without looking at their face, I had the person collide with the wall drinking from them feeling their delicious and unique blood go down my throat and drip down my chin. After I felt the person's body go limb in my arms, I pulled away taking a better look of their face.

In that second I started walking backwards leaving his body lying there, only just barely breathing. I kept walking backwards until I hit the opposite wall, and I automatically slid down bringing my knees up to my chest, not breaking my gaze from his almost lifeless body. Still not believing my eyes, I was looking at him wide-eyed. Frozen. I couldn't move. My mind was full of flashbacks that I just could not control at the moment.

It looks just like him. But it can't be. It's impossible. Yet they look so alike, almost identical. That limb body in front of me looks just like him. Like Edward.
My Edward. No, no, no, no it can't be. He's dead. I saw him die, right in front of my eyes. I left his body there in that town centuries ago. How is he here again? How is this happening? Why?

After I came back to my senses I quickly shook my head running to his side seeing he was still breathing. I quickly bit my wrist giving him my blood and thank god it worked. But he was still out, so I took him to my car, taking him back to my flat.

My hands were trembling as my driveway appeared into view. I looked back seeing him sleeping soundly. I smiled with tears in my eyes as I looked at him after all these years. All the memories came back so quickly it made my mind get mixed up and make my chest tighten a little bit at the moments I had with Edward. This is so surreal.
I closed my eyes as I felt two tears slid down my cheeks but I wiped them away fast. Then I took a deep breath and dragged him into my flat before anyone could notice. I took him into my room, and laid him down onto the bed while he was still unconscious. After he was in bed, I went downstairs and sat down on the couch pulling at my hair from frustration. It can't be Edward. But he sure looks like Edward. Identical even.

"How was tonight S?" My brother's voice tore me away from my thoughts making me look at him in surprise while he just stood in the doorway looking at me with a disappointing look in his eyes. I shook my head annoyed that he was here now as well. Last thing I needed is my brother getting on my nerves too. "Ugh, what the hell are you doing here? How'd you even find me you idiot?" I said getting up pushing him with rage.
"Hey Sapphire, I just came to help you. I've been tracking you for Seven hundred years. Finally I came before you went somewhere else." He said with a quiet voice trying to calm me although it doesn't work on me anymore.
"I don't need you Sethius. Go back to wherever you came from and leave me alone." I yelled at him, but he didn't stop "I won't. You're my sister and I will not let you ruin yourself even more." He yelled back not but his eyes were full of worry and care.

"RUIN MYSELF?! There is nothing left to ruin anymore Sethius! The bastard that killed him ruined me that day." I said and I felt my chest hurt but I didn't let my eyes water. Sethius noticed and quickly hugged me and that's when I realized how weak I must've looked, so I pushed him away, giving him a cold stare. Then we both heard a movement from upstairs. I looked at Sethius as he went upstairs before I could stop him from walking to the room where he was lying unconscious.
Instead of going after Sethius, I chose to get away from here, so in a second, I was out the door, not knowing where to go- I just ran and ran until I noticed two guys stumbling from how drunk they were. I smirked, knowing exactly what will help me and make me feel powerful, great, but most of all, cold and emotionless.

Blood!
