Kenny sat up, groaned and rubbed his head. Everything was so bright to him, and he felt something was weighing him down. That was when all the memories came rushing back to him.
"Roll to start the Grand Light quest" those were the words of his friend, Lemona. He picked up the dice and rolled them into the table in front of all of them. "Oh great, I got a 30. Let's do it."
"It says here in the guidebook we are supposed to talk to a man named Grand Light." Another friend, Liam pointed to a detailed drawing in the guidebook. It was a tall man with unkempt black hair, and heavy armor. His skin was so white he looked like a ghost.
"Yeah. Let's.... not."
Kurosuke looked at him obviously questioning what he had just said.
"Why not, Kenny?"
Eyes darting from one side of the table to the other, he closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. "He has strong armor, and he's listed fo have good weapons. We don't want him to kill us. For all we know, the guidebook will say he's going to try to fight us".
Lemona spoke up. "Why don't we just skip this past him? Maybe he won't drop any rewards if me defeat him!"
"I agree with Lemona. We don't want to die, because we just started this campaign!"
Kenny rolled the die again, and as soon as it landed, there was a blinding flash of light. That's when he fell unconscious.
