Chapter Five

One month later

"So how are you feeling after that epic fail" apple laughed while biting into her sandwich.

I glared at her and buried my face in my hands.

"Leave me alone and besides I ran away before they could see me" I pouted.

She smiled and squeezed my cheeks.

"I just need them to stop being around me all the time, I won't know who my partner is until my birthday and it might not even be them" I exclaimed.

She nodded.

"Hey are you doing okay?" She asked.

I knew exactly what she was talking about.

My fathers birthday was tomorrow.

And soon after my birthday.

The day he disappeared.

I put on my best smile and tried to convince her that I was fine.

But as long as he's gone I'll never be okay.

"So have you had fun with your new powers?!" Apple asked excitedly.

I laughed and nodded.

"Yeah I found out I can talk to animals but that's more my moms powers" I shrugged.

Her eyes nearly popped out of her sockets.

"Your mom could talk to animals!?"

"Hey lilac" I smiled giving him a kiss on the cheek.

He blushed as I sat next to him.

"So those little boys still following you?" He asked throwing his arm around my shoulder.

I groaned.

"Yes ever since everyone found out that I have my dads powers they all wanna be my soulmate" I whined.

He laughed and kissed my head.

No me and lilac aren't dating, he's just doing this to mess with phoenix.

On some level I know lilac likes me but if he's gonna ignore it I'm more than happy too.

"Phoenix hey" I jumped as he walked up behind me.

He stopped.

"How did you know it was me?" He asked with a curious smile on his face.

I shrugged.

Lilac cleared his throat and grabbed my bag.

"We have to go, we're gonna watch the singing contest in the gym" he said through gritted teeth.

Phoenix smirked.

"That's so funny because so was I, we can all walk together isn't that great." He taunted.

I almost laughed.

I grabbed my bag from lilac and started towards the gym.

"Little girl, you think you can hold your fathers powers forever?"

"Silly princess I'm just gonna have to remind you that I'm coming"

"AHHHH MAKE IT STOP" I screamed as I fell to the ground.

Every inch of my body was in pain, I couldn't feel anything but I could feel everything.

I was getting shocked and burned.

Blood started pouring from non existent wounds on my body as my the pain took over.

"SOMEBODY GO IT HELP" phoenix screamed falling to my side.

He picked me up as I thrashed around in his arms.

"PLEASE SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP" I exploded.

"Release a bolt it'll take the pain away I promise."

My fathers voice flooded my head.

He sounded pained the same way I had sounded.

I nodded hoping he could see me.

With a deep breath the threw myself out of phoenix's arms and landed on the ground with a thud.

I felt the power about to explode from my body.

My eyes shifted to green and sliver that's how I knew this would be a powerful bolt.

"GET BACK" I yelled my voice echoing through the hallways.

Then with the pain getting worse by the second I let go.

"I'm coming for what's mine"

"This has to stop, after getting her fathers powers she's been in so much pain! I don't need my daughter dying too" my mother screamed at Queen Liza.

I tried to calm her but it wasn't working especially because I was in a hospital bed.

Liza tried to speak but my mom cut her off.

"That's it she's coming home I tried to tell you she wasn't ready but you didn't listen now my baby is a target for some unknown Villain!"

"NO" yelled apple, lilac, and phoenix.

My mother glared at them.

"No rose she needs to be here now more than ever she's more powerful than she was when she came here, that makes her a target" she explained.

I cleared my throat.

"Mom I have to stay here or he'll get me" I whispered.

Everyone looked at me.

"Who?" Mom asked sitting by my bed.

I gulped before saying the name.

"Lorde Darkness" I said.

The whole room grew quiet.

"That's impossible he's dead he died with your father" Queen Liza explained.

I shook my head.

"No he's not and neither is my father, I've been having dreams of him in some kind of cage tied up and beaten" I started.

I pulled my shirt up and showed them the stab marks all over my body.

They all gasped.

"So when you got your fathers powers...." Apple started.

"He linked me to him" I whispered

"Whatever he feels I feel emotionally and physically" I said.

"Meaning your fathers still alive" Phoenix stated.

I nodded.

My mother and Queen Liza stood there stunned.

"But so is Lorde Darkness"

Sorry guys for the long break I just needed some time to myself.

But I'm back now and better then ever.
