a/n: the song has literally nothing to do with the one shot. stan poppin' party though. also this is a vent for me, i'm shuichi and my s/o is kokichi :)

tw: mentions of abuse(?), manipulation, starvation, and slight mention of suicide

Shuichi always had strict parents. Whether it be from having to always having to get a certain grade or doing something the 'right' way. If he wasn't studying he was doing laundry, playing with his little brother (who hit him when he was mad, then got away with it) If he was caught lying he would get yelled at. He was sensitive as well, making all of that worse. He dealt with toxic friends, using him, manipulating him, being him down constantly. He never was able to be free.

That was until of course he could move away.

Shuichi moved in with his uncle, who was more laid back, let him make mistakes, let him take it slow. Shuichi felt like he could explore who he was more now. He didn't have extra stress placed on his back anymore. He didn't have all those fake people anymore. He didn't have to be a perfect child. He was able to be the Shuichi Saihara he wanted to be.

Of course until his uncle got married, everything went down hill there.

His new aunt (i think?) had those high exceptions he tried to get away from. His new aunt had those countless chores he could never catch a break from. His new aunt wanted him to be the perfect little angel.

He got countless migraines every week. The medicine slowing starting to stop working. He would always be light-headed, but still had to go outside for hours on end and work. He stopped eating as much, hating his body image more than ever. He used editing as an escape from reality. He made a few online friends, many being sweet and caring. He procrastinated way more than he used to. He cried a lot more too.

Until he met them. The love of his life. The one who brought him joy and made him feel loved. The one who understood him more than anyone else. The one who he could talk to for hours and hours, never wanting to stop. The one he told everything to.

He trusted them with everything he had.

And they took care of him. They were always there for him. They always had his back. They always have him there unconditional love. They always made sure he didn't push himself to hard. They made sure he wouldn't do anything horrible. They are why he still is here. They gave him a reason to live he could have never found alone.

And so this is his thank you. He loves you very much. He thanks you for everything.

Thank you for bringing him happiness Kokichi Oma.
