Day 1
Sometimes when God calls someone to go somewhere but then that person tells God "I Ain't going". Let me tell you a story that's true and it's in the book of Jonah in the Bible. In (Jonah 1:1-17) God Called Jonah to go to Nin'i-veh but Jonah ran and went to tarshish. So Jonah ran, and he was running from the presence of the Lord.
(Jonah 1:3) But Johna arose to flee to tarshish from the presence of the Lord. he went down to Jop'pa, and found a ship going to tarshish; so he paid the fair, and went down into it, to go with them to tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
I am going to tell you that I know that there are people on the other end of this phone and God has Call do you to Go somewhere but you said no and fled from the call of God. Jonah thought he could just run from God and hide from God, see you can't hide from God and when He wants you to go somewhere he means what he said. (Jonah 1:4) but the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that this ship was about to be broken up.
Read it:
- (Jonah 1:15-17)
- (Jonah 2)
- (Jonah 3)So God created a storm and in this boat everyone of them were afraid. They called out to all their gods but Jonah got thrown out of the boat and swallowed by a fish. So Jonah was in Fish all alone he became angry. (Jonah 4:2 ) so he prayed to the Lord, and said "Ah,Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to tarshish; For I know that you are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindnes, One who relents from doing harm.
Now Jonah was calling out to God but he asked God that he could die because Jonah thought it would be better to die than be alive, but that wasn't what God wanted for Jhona's life. At this time Jonah is not in the belly of the fish he was spit out and now he is in Nin'e-vah Jonah was still angry but God kept talking to him. At the end Jonah goes and responds to the call that God has called him to do. See when God wants you to go somewhere trust and believe that God has a bigger plan for your life because God's plans are higher than ours.
Points to know:
- trust God.
- Believe that God's plans are higher than ours.
- Respond to the call.
- Have faith and believe what God says is true.God uses us in ways that we can never imagine. Sometimes we just have to trust in Him because his ways are higher than ours. You never know how much you can impact somebody by having compassion for a person and telling them the gospel. God knows you and your heart. He tells you to go somewhere or do something because there are places that need to be shown the gospel and told about Jesus.
