It was a Friday morning, the sun was covered by grey clouds and everyone was inside. Betty faintly hears her mother call her down to eat. She slowly opens her eyes and hears her phone ding, she sharply reaches for it and gets up.

She saw the messages were from Veronica, her best friend. Before Betty could open the messages, she felt a sharp pain in her head. "Ow, my head kills" She said to herself. She shaked it off and read through the messages, Veronica left her. " Betty, call me" "We have a problem, get to school as fast as you can!" "It's super important"

Betty was curious, she hardly had enough time to call, Veronica. So, her plan was to throw on some clothes, eat breakfast, and go to school as fast as she can. Betty swoops out of bed and grabs a pair of leggings, a sweater with long sleeves that cover her hands, and a pair of Air Force 1s. Betty dashes  down the stairs and picks up a granola bar. "Thanks mom, love you mom" and she runs out the door.

Betty runs through her neighbors yards til she sees her school, Riverdale High. She arrives and slams the doors open, she passes the secretary's desk, "Good morning" She smiles at the teacher in the front desk. She runs towards the lounge room and sees Veronica. She pants and tries to speak "I.. Came.. as fast as I......could"  Veronica bursts out in tears and runs to the bathroom. Betty turned around and watched her. She turns back around and Betty and Archie give each other a look. She groans and runs after her.

She opens the bathroom door to catch, Veronica on the floor with puke on her collar. Betty stares at her and pouts her lip. "Veronica, what happened?" Betty sits down on the floor next to her "Theres something I need to tell you.. about the party we went to a couple of weeks ago" Veronica said fiddling with her fingers. Betty nodded "Okay, okay.. tell me"

As tears stream down Veronicas face, she builds up the courage to tell her "I think I might be pregnant with Archies baby" Betty stares at her, and nods calmly. Veronica looks at her puzzled, "You don't seem.. shocked? I'm pregnant, Betty" Veronica bites her lip. " What? Yes, I know, I know, well I mean, what are you going to do? Keep the baby.." She changes her voice and says softly "Get an abortion"

Veronica cries, although this time it seems as if she's trying to make herself cry, Betty thought. Betty could always read people.. it's something she embraced of herself. "I..I don't know, probably.. I just turned sixteen, I don't want to raise a baby" Betty nodded "You don't have to, my aunt from New Jersey will take you to a doctor, and she's cool.. she won't tell anyone like your parents" Veronica made eye contact with, Betty and smiled. "Thank you, what would I do without you" She sharply reaches, Betty for hug. Betty could feel the puke on Veronicas collar seep into her shirt. Veronica pulls away and Betty awkwardly smiles.

Later that day, Betty walks to her locker as she gets stopped by Archie. "Hey, why won't Veronica talk to me" Betty furrowed her eyebrow and then she realized Veronica hasn't told Archie. "Oh, um.. I don't know, I think her cat died or something" Betty looked around awkwardly as Archie nodded sadly and walked off.

Betty has never been able to cope with emotion, she never knew how to express it, that became harder after she was prescribed with medication. Doing drugs always helped ease the way she thought about things. As she thought about drugs, she opened her phone and swiped it open. She went to her Imessage and started typing, "Hey, I don't mind picking some blunts tomorrow. I can pay in cash" She sends the message and puts her phone in her back pocket. She walks to her locker and opens it and grabs her bag. She was ready to go home to her mom complaining about how she didn't eat a good breakfast.

Before Betty could go, the princibal had an announcement to make. " Hello, Riverdale High students, happy Monday. Tomorrow, we will have Southside High join our school tomorrow since they're having their school shut down." Everyone murmured "Don't panic, we have the best security, so no gangs will be encouraged in this building, thank you. Have a good rest of your day" As the intercom beeped off, Betty thought it was a good opportunity for more drugs dealers, which meant more chaos for her.
