Chapter 3: Flying teenage girls

Percy's P.O.V.

"What do you mean you don't know? Is he like really lucky or something?" Callie asked me

"I don't know. We'll ask later. I'm hungry." I said sharply

"Okay."

-after dinner-

"Cmon." I said

At dinner I lightened up a bit from earlier. Now I had some buisness to take care of.

"Excuse me." I said

"Yes?" Leo said

"You're alive." I said

"Yes I am." he said cheekily

"Hi Calypso." I said awkwardly

"Hello." she said

"Cal, this is Leo and Calypso. Meet Caroline Williams." I said

"Just call me Callie. Nice to meet you." she said warmly.

"Gotcha." Leo said

"Um I think I'm going to go get ready for capture the flag. Great to meet you two." Callie said waking off, out of awkwardness I followed her.

"Why'd you leave me?" I asked

"What do you mean?" She asked turning to me

"That's calypso, i was like, stranded, on her island." I said

"Oh that was that calypso. Sorry, but I think her and that Leo kid are going to be staying for a while, so I think you're going to have to talk to her eventually." she said

"I will I will, just not yet. Cmon, we have a game to win." I said putting my arm around her. Which was sort of difficult considering how much taller I was.

She laughed, "Next week is fresh allies, who do you want to be with?" She asked

"Well I'll ask-"

"Annabeth?" she cut me off " Because everyone knows that you two are unbreakable." she said jokingly

"Not true." I try

"Fine, all I'm saying is that you two are the only people that get the flags. Maybe you should give someone els a try." she said

"Someone else meaning you?"

"Ew no of course not. I am perfectly happy in the trees. With my, what do I call them 'quarter siblings'." She said

"Whatever, when you get a boyfriend, I am going to have to agree to align with them." I said

"Fair enough. So other than Athena who else?" she asks

"Well, the Apollo kids aren't horrible at their job. Plus we have to go with Jason." I said

"So basically the same thing." she said

"Can't blame me for being prepared."

"What about Nico?" she asked

"Alright, you can get one choice."

"Okay, but what about someone who can get the flag?" she said "That's not you or Annabeth."

"Uh, what about that Athena kid, what was his name? Mark?"

"Malcom?" she asked

"Yeah him. Could he do it?"

"I guess he could. Why don't you go ask him."

"Fine, see you soon. Don't fall out of your tree." I said walking off

"Okay." she giggled
