As soon as her body touched the water, she became a girl, and swam after going to the bottom of Naruto. He lost consciousness and was drowning. The soul in his chest still glowed azure.
Ayumi quickly paddled with her feet, swimming closer and closer to him. When she was very close, she reached out to grab him, but as soon as her fingers touched his clothes, his body turned into a lot of bubbles and disappeared.
"No! Naruto!"
She grabbed the fallen Dreamcatcher and swam after the glowing blue dove that was his soul.
Suddenly, the water gave way to empty space and she flew down. Her body lit up and became a Fox again. Ayumi fell until her body was caught up in a snowstorm and carried in an unknown direction.
Finally, Ayumi was able to open her eyes and look around. Everywhere you looked, there were snow gorges and mountains with houses in the middle of them. When she saw one of them on her way, she became human and grabbed the door, then with difficulty opened it and went inside.
"Phew. It wasn't easy. Need to rather find soul Naruto and to return home." - the Only thought, which now beat in its anybody.
Around the house, everywhere you look, hanging empty bird cages. She went through the house and out into the back yard. There were birdcages here, too, but much larger. Mountains of bird cages. In each of them is a luminous white dove.
"And how do I find it? There are so many of them."
"Close your eyes." She heard the shadow detective's voice next to her, and looked around in surprise. There was no one around. — You don't remember?"
"Detective shadow?" — what is it? " she asked uncertainly, looking around. She looked down at the ground and saw that her shadow had changed, becoming the shadow of a man in a scarf and hat.
— I always keep my promises.
"Promises?" — leaned over to him and Ayumi.
— Yes. Remember I promised to help you?
— I don't want to steal anything. The girl frowned.
— I know, baby, and I just want to help. Listen carefully and do everything I say. Close your eyes first, " Ayumi obediently closed them. — Some things you can only see with your heart.
When she did, she realized that she couldn't hear the other birds chirping. Except one. Only one of them was blue. She also saw the spirit of the guard, who flew past the cages and closely watched everything.
"I don't think he'll understand even if I tell the truth."
"Did you see it?" — nodded. — Now go and free her." Just quickly, before the guard returns.
Ayumi reached the mountain of cages she needed and carefully climbed up. Finding the cage with the blue bird, she carefully removed it. The cages next to her crashed down. The birds in them twittered in alarm, flapping their wings rapidly.
The spirits flying around heard the noise and saw Ayumi. She clutched the cage to her chest and ran back to the house. The spirits flew after her.
One of the spirits almost grabbed her as she flew into the house and closed the door behind her. A man's shadow followed her. Taking the cage in her hands, she crouched down and held it to her chest.
— You must free your soul before the lake disappears. Faster!
Ayumi put the cage on the floor, and, releasing her claws, broke the lock, then opened the door.
