Chapter 9🦋

"I've lost all ambition for worldly acclaim, I just wanna be the one you love."

Y/n's POV

Finally Ale made it to the basement but he only brought Mattia with him. Mattia sat down in the circle next to  Ale.
Y/n: "Where is Kairi?"
Ale: "I couldn't get him to come with me."
Mattia: "Well he's the person I need to talk to.", he snaps.
I look at Mattia and he's looking back at me. I can't see any emotion in his eyes. I think he's trying to hide what he is really feeling. I grab Mattias hand and walk him upstairs we then go outside and onto the sidewalk.
Y/n: "Mattia, are you okay?", I ask him as we start walking. There wasn't a reply he just kept walking with his head slumped toward the ground.
Y/n: "Mattia.. I need to talk to you. And you need to talk to me. I can't help you if you don't talk.", I say. Suddenly he just stops walking and let's go of my hand.
Mattia: "What is there to talk abt Y/n? I don't think we can do this anymore. We have to figure things out with Kai. And that might take a while even then, he's my best friend and I don't wanna see him hurt.", he says. His eyes suddenly turning  dark.
Y/n: "I know that Mattia, Kairi is my friend too... you're not the only one who cares abt him. But we cant just forget about our feelings for each other bc of him!", I say. Admediate regret boiled over me.
Y/n: "No, no Mattia I didn't mean it like that.. I was just-
Mattia: "Get the fuck away from me now, Y/n.", he says his hands wiping his face.
Y/n: "Tia.. I'm so sorry.", I say putting my hand on his shoulder.
Mattia: "JUST GO!!"
I flinched then backed away from him. I've never seen him so angry before. The way his eyes turned dark and the way he made me feel like he was gonna hurt me.

I ran back to the house. The boys were at the table eating lunch. They had ordered Chick- fil- a.
Roshaun: "What happened? Where's Mattia?"
I ignored him and sat down next to Ale and started eating. Suddenly I heard a door open. We all looked at each other. Kairi came down the stairs and sat down next to Alvaro.
Kairi: "YESSS!! CHICK-FIL- A!!"
Roshaun: "Your welcome?",he says giggling.
Kairi: "Where's Mattia?"
Y/n: "He went on a walk. I tried to talk to him but he just screeched at me and told me to go away."
Kairi stuffed his mouth with his last piece of chicken, grabbed his hoodie and disappeared out of the front door.
Alvaro: "Where's he going?"
Ale: "Probably to go talk to Mattia dumbass."

Kairi's POV
I started to run to catch up to Mattia. I finally slowed down when I was walking at his pace. Damn Mattia walls so fucking fast.I don't think he noticed me though.
Kairi: "Mattia...",I mumbled softly. Mattia stopped walking and picked me up into a hug. He started to cry lightly, but I wiped his tears off his rosey cheeks.
Mattia: "I'm so sorry Kai. You know that don't you..", he whispered.
Kairi: "Ofc I do. I know that you didn't know, and I also know that it isn't your fault that you like Y/n. I mean she's perfect. For you.
Mattia: "You know I love you right?"
Kairi: "I know, even if it's not romantically I am okay with that. Bc I am still so lucky to have you as my best friend.
Mattia: "Are you sure you are okay with me having feelings for Y/n?"
Kairi: "Why wouldn't I be... I mean she makes you happy and if you are happy I am."
He smiles at me. The sweetest smile I've ever seen..
I give him a hug and we walk back home. I get on his back and he carries me. Just like the old days...
