Lauren.
"What did your father tell you?" Uncle Paul yells, my body shying away from him.
"You were not supposed to have anyone over and you were not to see any boys," he yells after I remain silent.
"Lauren!" he yells, startling me.
"I-I wanted to have fun. Be a teenager," I say, upset by how my teen years have progressed. It's been books and studying for years and I found a loophole; Harry allowing me that freedom. He brought the school to my party and he didn't judge me when I told him my story.
"Not a party. Parties are strictly prohibited and I don't want you leaving this house until your father returns. I'm locking the doors and setting the alarm," he says, my eyes widening.
No freedom. Nothing and he leaves abruptly, locking me inside of the house and sounding the alarm on the bottom floor doors. I'm left to wait until my parents get home, bored out of my mind.
Two days pass slowly, my reading and TV watching soon boring me. As I watched the clouds move through the windows was when I received a text message.
Want to hangout??
My lips curve and I feel my stomach fill with butterflies. I quickly tell Harry I'm stuck in my house, his response saying he'll figure it out when he gets here. Furrowing my eyebrows, I set the phone down and walk around the house for a while. Something hits my bedroom window and I rush to the balcony, opening the door. I walk out and cover my lips with my hand, Harry standing below.
"Come on," he grins, my hands gripping the side of the balcony.
"I-I," I try but the way down is too long. If I go out the front, I'll set off the alarm.
"Swing your leg over and I'll catch you from there. Trust me," he says, my lips closing in concentration. Carefully, I move my leg over the side of the balcony and he moves his arms up. This is insane.
"Alright," I say, completely trusting him. I drop the few feet and I land in his arms, his warm body securing me.
"Hi," he smiles.
"Hey," I grin, his arms moving to set me on my feet.
"So you are locked into the house?" he asks, my head nodding.
"I haven't been able to do anything," I say, looking down at my feet as we walk to his car.
"So me taking you out is the first thing you've done in two days?"
I nod and look up at him, his face illuminated by the night sky. His lips are a cherry color and his green eyes flicker towards me, my head turning away as he catches me staring.
"You like indie music?" he asks, my lips curving.
"Love it," I grin, his hand opening the door to his car for me. I sit down and he closes the door, my hand moving the seatbelt over my body. Harry joins me in the car and pulls down the street, fumbling with the stations on the radio.
"You-You can put something on," he says, my hand covering his as he presses the station I like.
"This one's good," I say, his head nodding as I nearly let go of his fingers. He turns his hand and wraps his fingers around mine, my eyes looking at his hand.
"You have warm hands," I blurt, his head turning to look at me.
"Is that a good thing?" he asks, my head nodding.
"Yeah," I blush, suddenly feeling so shy. This is going to be interesting.
Once Harry pulls into the parking lot, he lets go of my hand and leads me into the small restaurant. Indie music flows through my ears and we sit at a table, his body sitting across from me.
