Mahima ran behind her boss Shivay holding the notepad and reciting the minutes of the meeting to him.

"Good. He appreciated nodding at her making her smile a little.

"Thank you. She said

"Are we done for the day then? he asked settling on his chair and picking up his phone to check mails

"Sir... drawled Mahima.

"Yes... prompted Shivay with his eyes still fixed on the phone.

"There is a woman here to meet you. She said

"Woman? asked Shivay shifting his gaze from the phone. "Regarding business?

"No, sir. When I asked her, she just said it is personal and she wants only to talk to you. Mahima said

"I don't entertain all this and you know it. Said Shivay in a strict voice.

"I told her sir, but she is adamant and...

"And?

"And pregnant. I felt a bit pity for her, so I let her wait in guest room.

Shivay would have admonished his secretary for her careless behaviour to let someone in the executive floor, but the woman being pregnant drew even his sympathy. He cannot be heartless to a pregnant woman, especially now when he and Annika are trying for a baby.

"Send her in. Ordered Shivay

"Sure sir.

"Mahima, by the way what did you tell her name is?

Mahima checked previous pages of her notepad before answering, "Gauri.

Shivay observed the young girl sitting in front of him carefully. She looked not more than twenty three. Her eyes were hazel and hair was in a messy pony tail, probably she has come here directly after long travel. Black beads and red sindoor that mark the sign of a married woman was prominent and she kept caressing her visibly huge baby bump repeatedly.

"How can I help you? Shivay tried to keep his voice as calm as possible.

She looked at him for a minute before bending her head down to search for something from her bag. She retrieved a manila envelope from her bag and placed it on the table in front of him.

"He told me that if I ever fail in contacting him, I should give this to you. I didn't want to disturb you, but now it has been a month and I am worried.

Shivay frowned. Who is the him'? Who is she talking about? When Shivay was expecting to question her on the same, she pushed the envelope to his side as if asking him to read it.

SHIVAY SINGH OBEROI was written on big capital letters on the envelope.

Carefully opening the envelope, Shivay took out the neatly folded white paper from inside. Painfully familiar handwriting hit him as he unfolded the letter to read.

"Om he whispered to himself.

Shivay,

If you are reading this letter, it means only one thing, something is wrong with me. I wish you never had to learn through this letter, but I am the one telling this all to you in person, but I guess that is not the case now. Shivay, I want you to know that I am sorry; I didn't mean to hide things from you. But, everything was so perfect that I didn't want anything to jinx it. I had formed a small world of my own. I didn't want me or anything that related to my life jeopardize that world.
