ANGRY-KARA

It was a party organized by the Oberois for the success of business they had with my dad or something on that grounds, I don't understand business talk much.

I spotted Ruddy, Rudra Singh Oberoi to the world, with bunch of other friends of mine near the chocolate fountain and rushed to get my hand at the hot gooey chocolate.

"I want one." I said eyeing Ruddy's waffle dipped in chocolate.

"Ask Om bhaiya." He said waving at a direction where I spotted Shivay Bhaiya with another boy of his same height. Naturally, I assumed the other boy to be Om. He must be in charge of the chocolate fountain.

I ran towards them breathlessly and asked, "Om bhaiya, I want what Rudy is eating."

He turned to me with an expression that I cannot quiet comprehend. Was it hatred? Or anger? Or just irritation at a pestering kid?

"I am not your bhaiya." He said in a rude voice. I, literally, took a step backward at his hostile expression. No one has ever spoken to me in that tone or glared at me that intensely. My eyes were teary as I saw him walk away through lashes.

"Ri..." crooned Shivay Bhaiya, my most favourite bhaiya, kneeling in front of me. Ever since Rudy said I can share his bhaiya with him, I developed a liking to him. He calls me Ri, no one else does and he treats me like doll, just like papa. "Don't cry. Om is just sad because of something else. He didn't mean to shout at you. Do you want chocolate? I will make world's best chocolate waffle for you."

Later the same day I enquired Rudy about the fearful boy who shouted at me. "That is Om bhaiya. He is also my brother like Shivay bhaiya. You can share him also with me." He said proudly.

"Ewww.... He is very mean. I don't want your Om bhaiya. I will not even talk to him next time I see him. By the way, how come I have never seen him before? I come to your house often."

"Oh! He has been staying with naani since his last birthday. Mom said naani needs company in her old age."

"Good, let him just stay there and never come here."

MEAN-KARA

It was a casual dinner at the Oberoi Mansion. As it was already thirty past eight, when I and Rudy completed our school project, Daadi asked me to have dinner with them before driver picks me. I sat in my usual place between Shivay bhaiya and Rudy in the dining table. Since the Oberoi family is filled with three boys, they all pamper me a lot. Jhanvi aunty sometimes tells me that I am like her own daughter only. So, I easily convinced a pouting Rudy to let me sit in his Om bhaiya's designated chair with family's help.

"How dare you sit in my place?" his voice sounded angrier than I remembered it from the last time. Stupid tears welled up on my round eyes.

"I..." hiccup interrupted my sentence.

"Om, don't use that tone she is a child." said Tej uncle. But his father's warning didn't seem to have reached Omkara's ears as he kept glaring at me with a scowl. "This is my place." He demanded pulling the chair by the head of it. If not for Shivay bhaiyya's protective hold I would have stumbled down.

"Om..." Shivay bhaiyya was about to say something but he was stopped by hand gesture of Omkara.

"I hate when anyone tries to come between me and my brothers, no matter if it is someone from outside the family or inside the family." He said the last word glaring at Tej uncle, his own father. This boy is insane. Who talks to their father like that?

No one spoke against Omkara after that, sadly. Daadi made the servant place a chair near Ruddy's and made me sit there. Though the dinner was silent affair, I found Omkara glaring at me often. Such a mean boy. I hate him completely.
