In The Depths of The Ocean Lies The Answer

Chapter 1

The sun is already up and the warmth of a body hugging her from behind makes her realized how all their sacrifices are worth it.

"I didn't knew that we'll make it through" she said as she plays with the small hairs of his arms.

"As long as I have you I know I can make it through" he whispered as he kissed her neck.

I woke up because of a sudden dream. Naramdaman ko sa aking pisngi ang luha na bakas ng aking mga panaginip. I always dreamt about a two couple. It feels like I know them that somehow I am connected to them. Everytime I wake up from that dream I always have this sharp stabbing pain in my chest. Siguro masyado akong natutuwa sa pagmamahalan nilang dalawa because I know I can't find a love like theirs.

Ngayong araw magsisimula ang unang araw ko sa skwela bilang kolehiyo. My mom enrolled me in a private school although it's not that expensive than those in Manila. This school is much convenient for me and it's the closest university that is offering nursing in my hometown. Since then it was my dream to become a doctor so I took nursing as my pre-med.

It was 10 in the morning and I am already ready for school, my class starts at 1 pm until 7:30 in the evening. And I only need to attend 4 days in school. Ganon daw kase pag maaga nag enroll.

"Alex, anong oras ka aalis?" tanong ni mama habang nagluluto ng pananghalian

"Alis na po siguro ako ngayon ma. Di ko po kase kabisado kung ilang oras yung byahe tapos hahanapin ko pa yung room ko" sagot ko habang dino-double check ko lahat ng gamit ko.

"Osiya, mag iingat ka ha. Ichat mo ako kung nakarating kana" bilin ni mama bago ako tuluyang umalis.

It was 12:15 when I arrived in school. I got tired and thirsty so pumunta agad akong canteen para bumili ng tubig. I didn't expect na ganon kahirap ang byahe nag apat na lipat ako ng sasakyan kasama na ang tricycle pababa saamin.

It's already 12:30 when I decided to look for my classroom, mahirap na baka malate pa ko sa first day. I roam around and my feet take me to a group of boys that seems like they're not a freshmen because they sit on the bench like it's not a first day.

"Hi excuse me, may I ask where this building is?" tanong ko sabay pakita ng pangalan ng building sa registration form ko.

"Ah Saint Catherine, diyan miss deretsuhin mo lang yang hagdan pababa tas may elevator diyan" sagot ng lalaking nakasalamin. "Thank you" I smiled and left. As much as I want to be independent in my college life I admit that I sometimes need help and I don't wanna be lost, ang laki ng school na ito!

I saw the elevator and patiently wait for it to open just like any other tudents because I don't want to take the stairs, my classroom is in seventh floor! Since I got tired of all the walk I use my registration form to get me some air. I once again look at my reg form to see if I am on the right building, as I search for my first subject written here, in my peripheral vision I saw a girl looking carelessly at my form.

Syempre first impression always matters so I smiled at her kahit medyo naiirita ako, this sneaky peeking little brat! She smiled back naman and she's also pretty! She has short hair with a little touch of brown when it hits the sunlight.

"Anong room mo?" tanong niya as if naman na di niya nakita, tss.

"Room 704, ikaw?" sagot ko. "Aaah same! We're classmates" she giggled as she claps her hand.

"Wow great!" sagot ko. It's not that I don't like her okay, medyo nakakairita lang yung pagsilip niya sa form ko, it's a private thing! Pero okay na din since I have no friends and no one to talk to. It's nice to have a company atleast. If I meet new friends naman I can always dump her.

We arrived at the right floor and I quickly look for my first class. It's in the left wing second room. I walk fast but this girl keep up with my pace.

"I'm Seline, you are?" she said as we enter the room. I decided to sit at the second row beside the wall, ayoko sa may window nakakasilaw ayoko din sa unahan baka may biglaang recitation.

Seline sat beside me. "Alexandra" sagot ko habang nag sesettle sa upuan. "Aaaah ang cute ng name mo bagay sayo" puri niya habang tumitig sakin. "Uhh thanks"

"I like your hair" aniya habang hinawakan ang buhok ko. "I like your hair too" i said with all honesty. Maganda naman kase talaga bagay sakanya.
