Something Magical

November 2, 3001

I lay on my back floating when I felt something spiky but soft underneath me. I sat up to find grass swiftly spreading out from underneath me until I couldn't tell if it was still going. The trees began appearing around me in a wide circle. The ground began to rise in areas and sink in other areas creating a hilly terrain around me. I looked behind me and watched as a cliff sprang out of the ground rate behind me making the ground shake.

I stood up and looked around this beautiful place. It might seem normal but there is something magical about it but I couldn't quite place my finger on it. The air was so fresh! I took a deep breath, the air was so fresh that it stung my nose. I smiled to myself that this world was amazing. I could hardly believe it.

The grass was so green and the trees were SO tall. The leaves were beautiful, they were not normal green leaves, or brown, red, yellow colors of the fall season. The leaves on the trees were pink, blue, and purple.

I ran up to a smaller tree and started to climb up its trunk. Carefully planning out my movements grabbing each branch one after another pulling myself up and up. Finally I reached the top or at least as close as I could get. I peeked out over the Top of the cotton candy colored leaves. My hand slipped and I almost fell out of the tree because of what I saw.

Everything seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. Above the thick canopy of multi colored tree leaves were thousands of birds. "Wow they're so beautiful" I exclaimed as I watched the beautiful majestic creatures swoop and dive in the air. Faintly beyond the edge of the forest was a small bit of flatland, and by the flatland I could faintly see smoke!

I started to climb down very carefully so I wouldn't fall off the tree. I looked down watching my footing when I saw at the bodum of the tree was a cute little animal. Just before I reached the bodum the bunny-like creature looked up at me. It just stared at me then to my horror the animal's face contorted into a mix of a demon, bunny, dog thing. I quickly pulled my left foot up and onto the branch I was sitting on as the animal jumped up. The animal jumped, biting, and scratching at the tree.

I calmed my breathing, that thing cant get me it can't climb. Then it started to CLIMB up the tree! I circled around to the back of the tree hoping it would follow and luckily it did. I quickly swung around to the front side and jumped off running and hiding in a nearby bush before it realized what happened.

I stayed in the bush for a long while curled up in a hollowed out spot in the middle of the bush. After a while I crawled out of the bush and stood up dusting off my pants and shirt. I looked up at the sky and the sun was going to set soon and I have no idea what other offal creatures are out there. Maybe I should stay in the bush. It might be safer or I could have worked the smoke. No, it's too far and I don't know if it's friendly or not.

Well it looks like I'll be staying in a bush for the night, wow never thought I would have to say that. I looked around the area and found a few very useful things. The first was a sachil lying somewhere around where the tree was and inside the sachil was a map, a book titled The survival guide, a few snacks, a water bottle, and a flashlight. I walked back to "my" bush and curled up in the middle, ate one snake pack and a gulp of water then settled in for a long night.
