A/N: Sorry for the inactivity to anyone who reads this, *cough* @croissants_jimin *cough*. I've been caught up with online classes and all that nowadays. But now that I've remembered to make a new chapter, here it is!

"Retrace my steps?" Britney repeated after Angel.
"Yeah! That way, you'll find out how the thought came up to your head. "It's like when you walk into a room and then completely forget why you're there. You retrace you're steps then you remember why!"
"Hm, I get what you're trying to say." Britney was a little confused, but she didn't think the idea was bad. The only thing confusing her was what did she do to have a handsome tree stuck in her mind? "Well, I'll try remembering when we get to my house."
"Good!" Angel replied.
Once they finally got to Britney's house, Angel and Britney both ate ice cream and practiced their band instruments. After that, Angel decided it was time.
"Alright! Now that that's done, are you ready to retrace?"
"I guess, but where am I even going to start?" Britney questioned.
"Well, when did you start thinking about the tree?" Angel asked.
"Hmm, like last week I'm pretty sure."
"Well, let's start there!" Angel suggested.
Britney first started to retrace her steps of going to eat breakfast, then annoying her little brother, and watching a movie. After that, Britney couldn't remember the rest.
"Ugh, this is impossible! I can't remember anything I did last week now," she whined.
Angel didn't want to give up just yet. "Don't worry, I have an idea!"
Britney was getting too worked up.
"And what could that be?"
"I'll cal Liv and Gabby! We called them last week, maybe they can help!" Angel exclaimed.
"Right!" Britney replied. Britney then grabbed her phone out of her bag and called Liv and Gabby on Discord.
"Guys, I need your help with something," Britney reported.
"Yeah?" Liv asked.
Britney explained to the to about how she has been thinking about a tree and it's been interfering with school.
"Pfft- you've been thinking about a tree? That has gotta be the funniest thing I've ever heard," Gabby joked.
"No, but I'm serious! Look, I'm with Angel right now and she suggested retracing my steps. I can't remember anything I did last week, so maybe you guys can help me? Pleeeeaaaaasssee...?" Britney pleaded.
"Okay fine, cool your beans, dude." Gabby grunted.
"Well, I remember that we called!" Liv stated.
"Isn't that the reason she called us, Liv?" Gabby retorted jokingly.
"Ummm...anyways do you know what we all did last week?" Liv avoided the question.
They talked about how she ate breakfast, annoyed her brother, played Kahoot with her friends, studied for upcoming test, and other boring activities.
"Wait, didn't you call us on Discord after that? And didn't we play Roblox?" Gabby mentioned.
"Played...Roblox?" Britney thought time herself.
"Oh yeah that's right!" Angel added. Britney then remembered. She remembered it all. In that moment, she has a flashback:
"Aw, well I guess I'll see you next time?" Tree~Senpai asked with cute, kawaii puppy dog eyes.
"Of course I will, don't worry!" Britney assured. "See you next time, Tree~Senpai!"
Britney left the game.
"Tree~Senpai!" Britney yelled out of nowhere. It went silent for a moment.
"Did you call me senpai?~" Gabby flattered herself. The girls laughed, except for Britney.
"No idiot! We played Breaking Bones on Roblox! T-Then I-I-" Britney was cut off.
"Woah, slow down. Relax you're stuttering," Angel observed.
"Um, well I figured out why I'm so distracted now...heh," Britney admitted.
"Great! Now, you just go back and try to forget about it all!" Angel cheered.
"F-Forget about it?" Britney was confused. "But, I...I don't want to forget!"
"What do you mean? You wanted to be more focused at school didn't you?" Angel questioned, also confused. Britney didn't want to forget her lover, Tree~Senpai. She wanted to see his handsome face. She wanted to hear his charming and deep voice again. Britney missed Tree~Senpai. However, she felt regret. She regretted lying to Tree~Senpai about coming back soon. She was ashamed of herself, she thought she didn't want Tree~Senpai to even look at her after what she had done. She left her lover there, alone, with no one.
"I CAN'T FORGET ABOUT HIM! I LOVE HIM!" Britney snapped.
Once again, silence filled the room. It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was stunned. Did Britney just defend a tree?
"Are you seriously in love with a tree?" Gabby scoffed, breaking the silence.
"No, you don't understand! Tree~Senpai and I have an unbreakable bond! We are meant for each other! I promised I'd come back soon, but I never did." Britney felt her eyes watering, tears threatening to fall. Angel quickly hung up the phone and put Britney's phone away. She didn't want a fight starting between her friends.
"Look, Britney. I understand you probably want to be left alone right now, but you need to calm down," Angel tried to help Britney calm her nerves.
"I know, I know," Britney sniffled.
"Alright, I'll leave you be now, if you need anything, you can call," Angel assured. Angel left the room and left her house. Britney cried for a few moments, then calmed herself down.
"Okay, I'm going to go back into that game and see my Tree~Senpai!" Britney thought to herself as she grabbed her phone and went to her computer. She logged onto Roblox and joined a server of Breaking Bones.
"Let's get this show on the road!"
