Journal Entry #1
Slouching in my chair I smirked casually, pondering the news given to me. "You're telling me," I laughed a little at this. "That my 'opening' of that door in my dream, was more than just a dream-induced experience."
The doc could sense my skepticism, and tried to dumb down his speech for me. "It's simple, Mr. Edwards. The space you looked into upon breaking the door represented another, untouched portion of your brain. It was white, was it not? Empty?" It was. "That, is because it's never been used. Unaccessed. Barren." He leaned in and made sure I understood his next few words. "It's purpose is simply unknown."
"So we have no idea the capabilites of this new portion? Not a clue."
He looked at me strangely. "It's not going to be anything monumental, Mr. Edwards. Your intellect is only capable of certain things. And YOUR intellect, is capable of less even than most."
I looked at him blankly and didn't so much as grin as I walked out of the room and towards the subway.
"Next week it is Mr. Edwards!"
