Chasing Sufferings

"Are you okay?"

I tilted to my side and saw my twin sister's pursed smile. She looks worried about me and all I did was nod my head.

It was ate Cianna and Hoshi's surprise party for the announcement of their engagement and her pregnancy for Hoshi's dearest circle of friends. Right after the Obstetrician Gynecologist confirmed her pregnancy, Hoshi immediately proposed to my family. And so this is the celebration now.

"O-oo naman. I'm okay."

I feigned a smile when in fact it was a mixture of anxiousness and awkwardness being in the circle with the guy I love but sadly, he hates me.

"WHOOO~" They all cheered after Vernon emptied the overflowing plastic cup of beer instead of doing the dare he was told to do so.

We've been playing the game of spin the bottle with no truths but full of dares.

"Okay ,next! Spin baby!" Hoshi was all hyped up.

The bottle started spinning again and my heart felt a sudden anxiety as it slowed down and stopped.

"Wuji!" They cheered and there was a huge smirk on the face of the person from the opposite side of the glass bottle.

"What?" He was staring blankly. Chillin' as he was leaning his back on his seat and legs crossed over the other the he hoisted his plastic cup filled with cold beer.

"I dare you ..." MinYu hanged his words and acted as if thinking carefully of what dare to ask Wuji. And after a few seconds, his handsome smirk appeared. "I dare you to kiss the person you hated the most here in this circle."

And Wuji's face turned blank, cold and serious as ever as his stares met MinYu's directly before shifting his cold stares to each of us inside the circle which I ended up meeting his cold stares when our gazes met as it quickly shifted from cold to dead stared. A shiver ran down my whole system that made me immediately looked down.

"Ooohh.." They "ooohh"-ed as he took a filled plastic cup and emptied it before standing up. He then wiped his mouth with the back of his hands.

I don't know why I felt relieved when he emptied a cup instead of doing the dare. But then he stood up from his seat and started taking steps, passing by most of the person in the circle. I had to look away and bit my bottom lip as I gripped on the hem of my denim skirt.

I ended up with a gasp. As well as everyone.

"W-Wuji.." I was looking up at his face that's directly staring at my eyes, piercing my soul with it's cold and death.

He was literally standing infront of me. Both arms on the back rest of the seat I'm leaning myself for support. He placed his right knee on my side and lean closer.

"W-Wuji-"

He crashed his lips unto mine and my eyes went all wide as my throat hitched. My breathing escaped my lungs completely and I was deeply frozen on my phase, feeling myself quiver from the kiss that radiates a cold feeling.

His eyes are shut. And I can taste the aftertaste of beer in his lips which eventually tasted sweet as I felt him slowly nibble on both my bottom and upper lip. But the sweet feeling did not last long as I felt my lips like being scourge from his militant kiss.

"I will never like you for ruining the love of my life. I really hate you, Cienna. I really hate you, alright? Remember that.." He whispered in a sweet manner amidst kissing me.

I felt my chest pierced by his words. It was like a sword that pierced through my heart and was eventually pulled immediately. Sabi nila, hindi masakit ang masaksak kasi mas masakit ay kapag hinugot ang patalim na isinaksak sa'yo.
