First Date

Amy POV:

I walked outside the dorm building and outside stood the person I was supposed to meet up with. He was leaning against the wall and was standing right next to a motorcycle.
"Hey Sonic" I said to grab his attention
"Oh hey Ames" Sonic greeted while saying an unfamiliar name
"Ames?" I asked
"I made you a nickname, Do you like it?" Sonic asked with a nervous chuckle
"It fine, I guess" I said
He then suddenly grabbed my arm gently and pulled me toward his vehicle
He got onto the vehicle and looked at me waiting for me to get on
I decided to just get it over with and sat down
"Are you ready to go" Sonic asked
"I guess so" I said as I suddenly felt his hands grab mine
I was a bit confused by what he was doing since he had me wrap my arms around his waist
"What are you doing" I asked
"You're going to fall off if you don't hold on" Sonic said as he began to drive us to wherever he was taking us
A few minutes later.......
I honestly enjoyed the ride since I was able to see beautiful views as we drove by. We had stopped in front a bridge that seemed pretty cool considering it was a pretty deep if you fell down. We both began to walk across the bridge until Sonic started a conversation.
"So Ames tell me something that you don't tell most people" Sonic asked
"Well I guess I could tell you that I once fell down into a puddle after I got scared by a mouse back in the Isle" I said a bit ashamed of that time
"I'm surprised that the daughter of the most evil villain got scared by a mouse, but I get" Sonic said
"I also once got scared of a mosquito that landed on my nose, making me smack myself in the face while trying to kill it" Sonic said with an embarrassed expression
I giggled while imagining that scenario in my head
Sonic also began to laugh a bit
After we crossed the bridge we were now on the other end of a forest
We walked for a few more minutes until Sonic placed his hands over my eyes
Before I could ask what he was doing he said
"I will tell you when you can open your eyes"
He then began to move around a bit until he stopped moving and said
"You can look now"
I opened my eyes and saw that there was a picnic set up on a platform in the middle of some sort of river
"Woah" was the only word that could escape my mouth
Sonic then took my hand and brought us closer to the area I believe he set up
We both sat down and began to talk while also eating some of the food that he brought
I was eating a donut and Sonic was just eating a piece of apple pie
"Is it your first time" Sonic asked
I finished chewing the piece of donut I had in my mouth before I could answer
"Back in the Isle we don't actually go on dates we just hang out and possibly just bother other people for fun" I said
Sonic chuckled and said
"I meant if it was your first time eating donut"
"Is it really that noticeable" I said with a nervous laugh
"Yeah it is" said Sonic as he began to clean some crumbs off my face
It made me feel odd but I just couldn't tell if it was in a good or bad way
"Do want to walk around the river with me" Sonic asked
I thought about it and decided not to
"I think I'll stay here and try some strawberries" I said trying to make any possible excuse not to go with him
"Alright then" said Sonic as he got up and walked toward the river, standing on the side of it looking at the view
I decided to actually try a strawberry and I was surprised when I felt an extremely sweet flavor
I continued to eat more until I felt a twig snap
After that I heard water splash and immediately turned my attention to where the noise happened
I got up from where I was sitting and began to walk toward the noise
I saw that Sonic was no where in sight and began to get a bit worried about what he was doing
"SONIC" I shouted
Then I heard water continue splashing until I saw a blue figure under the water
I didn't think twice before getting into the water and pulling the figure out
My eyes widened as I noticed it was Sonic
"Sonic are you okay" I asked once I noticed his eyes started to open slightly
Sonic coughed a bit before answering my question
"I'm okay thank you for helping me" said Sonic as he coughed a bit more
"What were you doing in the water" I asked
"I tripped on a rock and fell over into the water" Sonic answered
I sighed and helped him get back on his feet
"Sorry about your outfit getting wet" apologized Sonic and we stood back on the platform we were originally on
"It doesn't really matter" I said as we sat back down
Sonic placed his Jacket over me and looked down at the ground
We stayed silent for a bit until Sonic decided to speak
"Amy I already told you the I love you, but what about you....Do you love me back" Sonic asked
I stayed silent for a bit until I decided to say something
"I don't know what love is" I said admitting the truth
Sonic the grabbed my face gently making me face him
He looked at me for a while and then said
"Maybe I could teach you"
