It was a clear afternoon just the way Yibo liked. He somehow has always loved this part of the day, as the serenity of the scene is too overwhelming. Birds flying back to their nests across the deep hues of the orange sky. It's just magical to observe what the nature has to offer. He was somewhere deep in his thoughts when the mellow ringtone of his phone derived his attention to the present.

It was Wang Lei's uncle phone number lightening up on his screen. He attended the phone call that was not very pleasant. Now he has to talk to a junior for some serious discussion. He started thinking how to convince him for the idea impregnated by his uncle. Yibo walked towards the staircase leading him to the ground floor of his two storeyed home.

Wang Lei was busy doing something on his laptop when Yibo knocked at his door. "Come in," Lei responded.  Yibo was wearing pyjama pants and shirt. "I need to talk to you." Lei was already concerned. "You can sit and talk." His eyes not leaving Yibo's face. "I received a call couple of minutes ago from your Uncle..."

"And?" Lei inquired impatiently. "He needs you there. He said you should talk to him." Suddenly Lei was not very happy, he was clearly unhappy.

"No way on this earth am I going from here. What do he need? I can give him or try to give him what he wants but not that I'm leaving this place. Where was he when I needed him. Now that you've taken me in and he should've known that you're rich, suddenly he needs me." Yibo was silently observing the temperament of Lei, he has to interrupt.

"Relax Lei. Why are you suddenly triggered?" He wanted Lei to calm down but Lei was clearly not listening "I'm telling you I'm not going anywhere from here. I'm not leaving you. And you can't just forcibly throw me out. D'you hear me?" In the end his tone became frightened and pleading. Yibo suddenly felt pity for the miserable boy. "I will not force you. You have my word. Just talk to him and then tell me. I will listen to you. Okay?" Yibo was not going to force him anyway. Lei was relieved at Yibo's remarking. Yibo stood up and walked briskly his way out of the door.

He had to ponder now what was Lei's Uncle up to. He must knew all of this would come with taking the custody of a young boy. He was always a man of his decisions. Once he took them, he never had to rethink about them. Rethinking and pondering was all to do before making one and now he has made one. To protect and nourish Wang Lei, to become a guardian to this young lad and he will do it at all costs. Not knowing that these attributes of his personality were making young Lei, loyal to him, to a fault.

He just wanted to take a stroll outside, in a park, thinking of what he has to do now. He was taking a solitary walk, both hands in the pockets of his pyjama pants, head down, just then, somebody bumped into him, striking his nose. He winced in pain, tears clouded his vision for some seconds as he adjusted his gaze while pinching the bridge of his nose. He could see a familiar person infront of him.

"Hey Yibo!" She chirped happily. "I'm sorry..." She leaned forward to sympathize with Yibo for the pain and tried to touch his nose but Yibo yanked her hand away softly. "It's fine. When did you come back?" Mi Ya Mark delighted as to what was asked. "I think you know when I came here and I know there's something off between you and Zhan-Zhan."

"No. I don't know when you came here but only that you have been here since a couple of days." He completely ignored the second part of the query, pinching his nose to ease the hurt.

"I'm here since a week. How have you been? I miss you so much, Ibo. And, you didn't reply to the second part of my earlier conversation."

"I'm delighted to see you too, Mei Mei. And I clearly, don't want to talk about the second part, Mei." The last sentence he spoke in a stressed manner. Mi Ya got the idea.

"How long are you here?" Yibo tried to lighten the conversation. "Well, I'm going to stay for good, I guess." She carefully chose the words. She was stuck in between the confused situation of two of the dearest persons in her life. She had to be the intelligent one for both of them's sake. Although she was appeared to be a fragile minor if staged between these two mighty studs.

"How about coffee someday, then?" Yibo said nonchalantly. "How about now?" Mi Ya proposed. "Hăo." Yibo agreed with a smile.

(hăo: ok)

Mi Ya walked in front and Yibo behind her as they crossed the narrow gate of the park. She has always felt the same safety while being with these two men in her life. They both went to the same restaurant which has been a second habitat to this group of friends, including, Wang Yibo, Sean Xiao Zhan, Liu Hai Kuan, Mi Ya Mark since ages. They were naturally compelled to this place whenever they wanted their daily meals or tea or coffee or a simple meet up.

They sat across eachother. Yibo sat silently as he suddenly reminsced when he confronted Xiao Zhan here the last time. Mi Ya helped the waiter to note down their preferences for the coffee. Yibo was shaken amidst his reminscing at a familiar deep voice.

"Mei Mei!" Xiao Zhan chanted over some distance as he was walking towards his familiar person but his gait become unbalanced as he saw the person next to her. He shifted his gaze and balanced his gait, gaining composure, took even steps and halted infront of Mi Ya. The informal clothes on both made them look evenly gorgeous and well built, Mi Ya thought, comparing them both.

"Join us, Zhan-Zhan. Have coffee before going to Simon's Industries." Yibo was clearly not liking this idea of Mi Ya when he felt alarmed at the mention of Simon's Industries. "No, I don't need that. I came to give you the keys. I can be late at night, don't wait for me." Xiao Zhan smoothly declined the offer knowing the other's discomfort. As he was planning to walk away, he suddenly turned towards Yibo and said, "Mr. Huang Delun wants us both to deal the contract with Simon's." "And why are you going alone there?" Yibo questioned, recalling the risk of going alone, keeping his gaze fixed on his cup.

"I'm not. I'm just going to talk to an acquaintance there who could get me the idea of what ulterior motive could be behind Simon's preposition." He replied avoiding Yibo's piercing gaze. Yibo noticed his mark on the elder's lower lip but remained indifferent.

"Well, you can coordinate with Kai Zhang. He will delegate instead of me." Xiao Zhan felt a punch in his stomach as he was rejected of the accompaniment in even business. The hatred was real strong. He sucked in air. He turned away and took shallow steps to leave. "Be safe, Zhan." Mi Ya voiced.
