Chapter 9: Happiness and regret

Yashiro's P.O.V

I finally got to school early today because, well, I was with you know who until morning. "Wow, Your here early Nene-Chan.", Aoi said. "How did you get here, your always late?".

"I just woke up earlier than usually, that's all." I told Aoi. I was lying but it was best to keep the truth to myself.

I then saw Kou with his head down walking through the hallway. "Minamoto-Kun!", I said a little happy to see him. Aoi the left thinking there was something between me and Kou.

"How could you." Kou mumbled. "I'm sorry Kou, I didn't catch that." I said I wanted to know what he said."How could you senpi!", Kou yelled at me. "How could you choose him over me!". "Why did you!", Kou said. He seemed seemed as though he were about to cry.

"Wh...What?!", I said wondering what Kou meant. "Is this because I like Hanako?". I knew that Kou might get jealous but this is more than I expected. I didn't know how to react.

"Yashiro-Senpi, he killed his brother, he used you for his own well being,and he's dead!", Kou said crying at this point. "why won't you see that?"

"Because I trust him! Because I love him!", I said. "Now if you excuse me, I need to get to class."

I didn't mean to get mad at Kou but, I had to. I had to defend Hanako, well Amane. I love him no matter what others think. The only reason we can touch is because I ate that stupid mermaid scale. At first it was a regret but now I think of it as a blessing even though I can turn into a fish.

Hanako's P.O.V

Last night might have been the worst regret of my so called life. I didn't mean to do anything. However what is done is done.

I got Bored so I took a walk around the school. I knew no one could see me except Yashiro and the Minamoto's. Well there's also my brother, Sakura and Natsuhiko. I'll be fine for right now later is a different time.

I swear that as long as I'm still around I will protect those I love and still love.

Now that I think about the last time I saw my brother was when we were in number 3's boundary: the hell of mirrors. I wonder if he's planning something that can effect me, Yashiro or Kou. I wonder?
