TOPIC:CAN A PERSON EVER ACHIEVE PERFECTION?

Often,I wonder, what is perfection? If you google it,it says:"the action or process of improving something until its faultless."
That got me thinking,is perfection in anyone's reach? After thinking for a while,my answer was inclining more towards no.Perfection is,was and never will be in anyone's reach.Ever.

The thing is,perfection is a subjective concept, just like beauty.A person might get closer to perfection but he will never achieve it in any shape, form or size.

To explain this better, lets take an example of a pizza. There are different types of sizes, toppings, flavours and prices of each pizza. When you order a pizza, you might be a person who likes a thick crust/base while others might prefer a thinner crust.

You might be a person who loves veggies as a topping, while others might love cheese or pepperoni for a topping. You might enjoy your pizza with a coke while others might like it with garlic bread or a choco lava cake as a side dish.

The point that I'm trying to prove here is that not all people might think of any concept or thing as perfection. There are certain topics which are enjoyed by the maximum number of the population like comedy, exercise and politics. But,there is also a sum of fellow citizens who aren't really interested in the aforementioned topics.

The reason behind this discrimination of preferences is that each and every person has their take on the smallest and biggest topics, regardless of whether they are expressed every time or not.We should learn to respect each and every person's opinion.

Moving on from pizzas, lets talk about the perfection that people expect from another person's physique,i.e.body shaming.

Google defines body shaming as:"The action or practice of humiliating someone by mocking or critical comments about their body shape or size."

Body shaming is practiced around the globe despite it being a highly offensive act.In India, words indicating body shaming and racist comments are spilled out of people's mouths as smoothly as curse words are.

For eg,if a person is fat,he/she is told to become thinner because 'no one wants to marry a fat person'.On the contrary,a thin person is advised to gain some weight because they look like a skeleton or like a sick patient.

This brought me to the conclusion that people here are never satisfied with how other people look.According to them, everyone is either 'too fat', 'too thin' ,'too dark skinned' or 'too pale skinned'.

What amazes me the most is the fact that these people who make such comments do not ever take into consideration the fact that their mindless blabber affects the said 'too thin','too fat','too dark skinned' or 'too pale skinned' person. For them, its just something that they said to pass time.

Whenever any of the above mentioned victims of racism and body shaming act up to what was said about their bodies, they are shut down by a 'learn to take a joke' or 'is this how your parents taught you to treat elders?'comment.

Body shaming is a serious issue and it shouldn't ever be taken lightly.

From this article,I derive a few conclusions:                                     1)Learn to love yourself.

2)Don't let anyone else's comment on your body affect you.

3)Learn to respect the opinion of people whose ideas clash with yours because ,just like you, they are expressing their opinion too.

4)Respect other people's opinions,do not let them take over what you as a person, believe in.
