Later that night

" Hey Paul come here " Paul saw a beautiful young women with purple hair calling him well not him but a five year old Paul , " yes coming mom" Paul replied sweetly , " Come Paul dinners"," ready yes mom I am coming but after calling dad " , " Hey dad what are you doing , well Paul's dad was basically talking to a women on the phone when Paul's mom entered the room after her son and Hushband hadn't come down , " I was right Robert so you really are dating that slut Pauls mom told in a teary voice well his father was still on the phone and a women was on the other side, " No honey" , " Plz don't lie to me anymore this has been going on for a long time now", Pauls father realizing that he had been exposed started blaming her " well who was there for me when I lost to that kid Cynthia huh and lost the status of a champion, huh well I'm leaving the house beside him was his infernape who had a sad expression on his face and also a raichu , " lets go you too" , " wait Robert we need to talk , " " Paul's mother went to stop her hushband but she received a slap and was getting tortured by her husband , Paul was too sacred now looking at his father , a dark vive was coming out of his body , " plz stop dad , stop hitting mommy Paul said trying his best to save his mom , when infernape held him he had a sad look in his voice but he was loyal to his master who had raised him,"stop this plz dad" hearing Paul's voice his older brother Reggie came in he was 9 he tried  to stop his father but this time Roberts Raichu stopped him , " Paul and Reggie kept crying but his father stopped only after he was satisfied torturing his mother . Paul suddenly woke up from his sleep he saw Gloria still sleeping peacefully beside him she was whispering his name still in her sleep "oh she really loves me Paul tought " and for the first time he saw how beautiful Gloria was Paul held a strand of her beautiful brown hair in his hands . " oh she really looks cute Paul said to himself " and kissed Gloria slowly on her cheeks , ; well tonight he can't sleep again really those memories were coming back it wasn't a dream it was those darkest days from Paul's past which he saw in a form of a dream , everyday Paul's mom would get a beating from her father until oneday he just disappeared from their lives like he had never existed and a few years later his mom left too with a man , " it was reggie who gave up being a trainer and started taking care of Paul " raising him till this day , He might not show it but Paul was really thankful to Reggie without him Paul didn't knew where he would have been he mentally thanked Reggie but one thing that Paul never understood was how he maintained such a friendly attitude raising him when he too had gone through the same experiences in his life well expect for one ,he also lost Dawn his first love. Paul was stroking Glorias head lightly the whole time careful not to wake her while he was thinking about his past , he didn't knew what fate had against him why it was him who had to always suffer he really envied his friends sometimes they could spend time with the women they love while for him , it seemed the person he loves or cares for just disppears breaking him both physically and emotionally
He once again looked at the sleeping beauty beside him he really had wanted to tell her sometimes how much he loved her , how much he had wanted to spend each and everyday of his life holding her in his arms how badly he had wanted to kiss her but again that feeling that he would loose her too like the rest of the people he had loved his mom, his dad and his dawn .Well Paul went out of his room silently and went to the balcony expecting some fresh air , while he reached the balcony he found Gladion lost in thought , " Hey Gladion he called out to him upon getting no response Paul touched his shoulders he was really taken aback , " oh it's you Paul I was really scared so what are you doing here, I guess unable to sleep" , " yes absolutely " Paul replied.

Paul's Pov

So I guess Glods snoring really made it difficult for you to sleep right.
" yeah " so Gladion now tell me everything about her and your relationship with her , " who are you talking about Gladion said trying to change the topic" ,Don't try to change the topic Gladion I'm not that dumb , " we'll you're smart Paul and I get it you won't let me go until you get the words out of my mouth right ", well yeah you're smart too man , " well Paul I just can't tell you my story just like that " Gladion said coming forward " what do you want to say , " we'll Paul if I'm telling you about my relationship you need to tell me something to ," ok what do you want to hear I asked Gladion in a confused tone , " well about you and Dawn " I was a bit taken aback by his statement , " come on Paul you asked me first so finally I am ready to tell you but now you are chickening out " " I don't chicken out" ," yes you are gladion said this time raising his voice" " no I'm not " ," yes you are", " ok fine" just as I said this I realized what I had done , Gladion realizing it too just smirked okay Paul hope will hold on to your end of the deal right " ,yes you can count on me I said still not able to register why I agreed to this " okay Paul  let me start okay" Gladion began telling his story and I began listening to him very attentively.
